This is what I make and usually have two each morning after working out.
1 cup of each Calories Fat Protein
Protein powder (whey) 300 40 52
Wheat Germ 360 80 24
Granola 440 160 22
Quick Oats 300 50 10
Honey 960 0 0
Peanut Butter 1440 880 56
3800 1090 164
For 27, 140 calories each, 6 grams of protein (not super high, but add more protein powder if you want). They kind of taste like no bake cookies. Once I put cocoa in it, but I didn't prefer the taste.
Mix and roll into balls. After this first time, I started substituting Chocolate PB2 (powder) for the peanut butter, saving tons of calories while trying to maintain protein. So, the calories go down to about 120 per ball, 6.5 grams of protein or so with that substitution.0 -
Cut beef into bars.. cook.. eat..... also works with chicken, pork, etc0

I always check out this website before buying any protein products - www.excellentprotein.com - My personal favourite is the universal nutrition bar because of the high protein:carb ratio.0

I will try some of these, thanks to all for the questions and posts! MMMMMM! sounds great!0

I agree with the other posters here about Jamie Eason's recipes on Bodybuilding.com. I've made all of her recipes and love them...will never buy store bought again. The pumpkin bars are soooo good!0

not so good for people like me with intolerance to egg though!
The pumpkin walnut sound delicious! They seem like they have a large quantity of egg--is that because the egg is used for protein, or they don't bake properly without that quantity of egg?0 -
Thanks for the Pumpkin Walnut recipe! Can't wait to check it out
I like my protein bars a little dry and cumbly to have over yogurt and fruit for breakfast. Here's my fave recipe - I make it about twice a month; yields 6 servings: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/360890-meagalayne-s-signature-protein-brownies
For a fudgier, totally delicious recipe, check out this one posted by the amazing ChrisDavey: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/890922-moist-protein-brownies
Seriously. They are both the BOMBest.0 -
Brilliant!!! Thank you all for such wonderful recipes!!!!!!!!!!! Spoiled for choice now!0

I made these at the weekend http://www.proteinpow.com/2012/01/dark-chocolate-peanut-butter-protein.html
Mine have 155 cals, 14g protein, 7g carbs, 7g fat. I made half the recipe into 6 bars
Also, check out the new lemon cake recipe on the front page. I'm gonna try one!0 -
