Easter cheat day: yes or no ?

No cheating here today. I am saving cheating for vacation only, which does not mean blowing it out, it just means switching to maintenance calories during that time. What do bunnies and eggs have to do with Easter anyway?
I think they are symbols of a fertility goddess, whom has been celebrated for thousands of years. Don't know how it turned to chocolate though, lol.
Evolution. In the perfect world, everything will be made from chocolate.0 -
Yep I had an easter egg today...my first chocolate in 2013.....not bad going....I did goto the gym today and burnt over 500, missed off breakfast (as such) as I had a long sleep, so had brunch.....
With all that in mind I am still under my cals for today, so yes its possible to cheat but still be under in cals...as for all the other values listed...well I have not looked at them...lol.....
I have now lost 43lbs so its also a treat/reward for reaching that level and also dropping from a size 44 to 38 for trousers, 19inch collar to 17in collar....xxx to xl....so if anyone thinks I dont deserve a treat then thats just tough.....
I hope all the other cheaters enjoyed their chocolate eggs today.....yummy........0 -
I was so ready to go over my cals yesterday (did Easter a day early to work with schedules). I was just going to eat whatever I wanted all day, log it that night, and then be done with it. Ended up skipping the dessert with my family so I could go get ice cream with my boyfriend later, but I made the mistake of logging first--I had hit just under my goal and couldn't bring myself to go over just for some sweets. Feeling pretty good today, though, and I still have a chocolate bunny to munch on for the next week.0

our church alway has a brunch between services, so this was a planned "treat". I had the breakfast they had, and allowed myself 3 chocolate kisses and a mini twix candy bar. It was painful logging the food I had after getting home, but so far have taken two walks (one 50 minutes and the other 30 minutes). I will take one more 30 minute walk later and that will put me at only a 100 or less calorie deficit. I can be satisfied with that. I have been good all week and plan to be good all this week, so will not feel guilty0

I don`t really count it as cheating but I did go over my cals already (about 500 over currently) but I may still go to the gym tonight depends on if hubby has any evening plans for us ( he was talking about renting a movie and if that happens I`ll be staying in with him if not then I`ll go to the gym and get my run in ) either way I`m happy with today still WAY better than I would have done before I changed my eatting habbits0

Just finished Easter dinner. Turns out I have over 500 calories left to consume without going over, so I guess I won't be cheating today. The sad thing is, I have enough calories for both a 300-calorie chocolate egg AND a 200-cal serving of ice cream, but I'm too full for both. I hate these problems!0
-
Yup. Did it. Didn't mean to but I'm ok with it.0

Today I'm eating anything that I want to eat, and I'm logging it. The only caveat is that I walk away first and wait 5 minutes. If I still want it after that, it's mine. I'm not doing any strenuous exercise either, because it's my rest day, only some easy dancing that probably doesn't burn as many calories as MFP thinks it does.0

CHEAT DAY! I'm stuffed... It's Easter, enjoy!0
-
I tried with brunch getting my favorite breakfast but it ended up being healthier than I had planned so everything has fit for the day. Still have some extra to figure out what else I want with one candy or so. Am doing some minor added exercise but not to compensate0

Can't believe it, but I just made it (barely) under my calories. We had a nice, big Easter dinner, but I stopped myself before I ate too much. I hate that overstuffed feeling, and I'm learning to avoid it now. Technically it's my JMBR off day, but I did the cardio DVD because I needed the burn.0

A little over my allotment, but stayed away from all sweets, no chocolate and no desserts, but too much dinner. Also did not get walk in, but tomorrow is a new day and plan to be diligent and back on track.0
-
I planned my calories before the meal and stuck to them. I was 95% sure I would have a binge!0
-
Those damned almonds got me again.0
-
A net of 1663 . . . which is not too bad at all (especially considering that involved a 1/2 cup of peanut M&Ms).0

Yes, its DeFiNiTeLy a cheat WeEkEnD! Last night's party food (donut holes and red velvet cake) and today's sunday brunch mimosas and tres leches cake did me in! Cleaning the house to try and mitigate the damage..and maybe have a cleaner house.0

Oh heck yes.
Back to grind tomorrow though!0 -
Cheat day lol.... more like cheat weekend
truer words were never spoken!0 -
6AM work out at the gym. Easter lunch followed up with a Easter dinner. Not a good diet day. I will do better tomorrow!0
-
Nah, I was already satisfied with eating my goal of 3600 calories today.0
-
ZZZZZzzzz
food coma0 -
Of course!!!!
But, I don't call it a cheat day, I cal it a treat day.0 -
Not really. I knew Easter was coming.... its been on the calendar for months so I ate a deficit for several days last week.:flowerforyou:
I did eat a ton of crap I typically wouldn't eat but it was guilt-free and delicious!:drinker:0 -
I was a mess this entire weekend. I think I have eaten 10000 more calories than I should have. It was Easter, and my wife's birthday celebration. I was 170 on Thursday (lost 60 lbs over the course of the year) and today I am 183.
I feel terrible. I will be right back on my plan tomorrow, but I hope this craziness I put myself through doesn't keep me at this weight.0 -
Nope...although my parents did look at me strange when I went digging for a scale and measuring cup to bring to the table. I gotta say this was the most bloat free, headache free Easter ever! I certainly made sure I had some of everything though.
Oh no, does this mean the end of my annual Thanksgivingpassedoutonthefloorfullofstuffing time? Yip.0 -

If it was only 10,000 then at most you only permanently gained a little under 3 lbs.0 -

I overate by around the same, and I am a female, and live alone, so I had none of the excuses you did, lol. All chocolate calories.
Dont think I have ever gained 13 Ibs immediately though from it. My worst was 5 Ibs overnight after eating 2 loaves of bakery fruit bread. It wont all be genuine weight, you should see it drop off over the coming days as long as you get back on track and drink plenty of water. A big dump will sort some of it out too.0 -
It was going to be a no but it turned into a yes  didn't regret it one bit! I love chocolate.
ETA: I just finished logging and I was exactly at my TDEE for Easter. Cool.0
