Thanks for the chuckle. That poor cat. Let him (her?) know that the butt looks fine, the muffin top is a little excessive though.0

Sounds like a serious case of "fat kitty shaming" to me. The kitty couple should just break up, and then perhaps Mr. Kitty can look into some BBK (big beautiful kitty) dating sites.
LOL....totally afraid what I might get if I google that.
Now, this made me LOL. Good one!0 -
Tell him to get with the 2013's, big butts are in fashion now.
Not so much muffin tops, though, that he may want to work on.0 -
My cat has lost 3.5 pounds and now acts like my house is a nudist colony. He won't even keep his collar on. I keep finding it in the most random places. Now the other cat is doing it too.0

Bibs are not a good look for anyone. Cats included.0 -

I tried to tell him that...0 -
I think maybe it's the wrong colour for your cat, he looks more like an autumn to me. :flowerforyou:0

Well, in my opinion he should dress for his size. Muffin-tops just make him look bigger than he probably really is. Have you thought about shaving him? All that fur makes him look bigger, too.
FTW! It's amazing how you can take off a few inches just by shaving. Worked well for both my cats and me.0 -
I'm just amazed you could put pants on your cat, mine would kill me.0

Try pants with vertical stripes; they are very slimming.0

This is gold.
When I see the word pictures I couldn't resist.
Your cats *kitten* doesn't look fat.0 -
I think its the color....black is always more slimming0

Freaking Brillant! Hahaha!0 -
The main thing is to avoid damaging him psychologically by suggesting his butt looks big in the pants.
This is exactly what happened to mine. The first photo below is his 'before' when he was a happy, happy tabby. Then...one stray comment from his girlfriend about needing some Spanx and cutting out the Maccy D's and he started obsessing about his weight and then started a 'raw mouse juicing' diet to cleanse him.
Ok...so now his pants are falling off but he's no longer a happy cat...his girlfriend dumped him when he suggested she needed a bigger thigh gap. All he does all day now is sit around watching the goldfish bowl and mainlining catnip. So beware!
Before - Happy Cat
After - Unhappy Cat

Do NOT buy larger pants. That is an admission of defeat. Every day he has to squeeze into those ill-fitting trousers will be just a *little* bit more motivation to keep at it!! Heck, buy an even smaller pair.
Good for you for trying to help your cat. Seems like most MeowFelinePals are willing to just let them plump up into big balloons.
This.
Also how does he feel about hair cuts?
I think a lot of excess fur my be getting in the way.0 -
Well, he's nice and fat. Time to make el gato fajitas out of him.0
