get rid of soda, even diet. Log everything. I learned that when I am out of control ( so I think) I tend to give up with the attitude of " i cant do this" " i will start over another day" but when I log everything I learned that its not hopeless and I can make up for damage done and save the day.

I love this. I gave up diet soda about 8 months ago and I feel amazing. I really didn't think about it until I saw this written down. LOVE!

    Log everything. Eve. Rey. Thing.

^^^^THIS! I found that even when I have "a day of shame" and not so great choices...logging everything keeps me accountable to myself!

try the 5:2 fast days (2 non-consecutive where you eat 500 cals each of those 2 days and eat normally the other 5 days). You will steadily lose 1 lb per week. I have been doing this for 9 weeks and have lost 9 lbs. It is not difficult either. Good luck.

    Portion control--everything in moderation.
Truthfully record your eating and exercise
When you go out to eat, bring the leftovers home
You don't have to eat like every meal is your last. You will eat again.
If you are going to splurge, make sure it's something worth it, like your favorite food you get only once a year, or your grandmother's chocolate cake.

There's no such thing as motivation, only determination. Determine what you will do, then do it!

Every choice is an opportunity to make a good choice, if you eat a biscuit that is not 'failure' and therefore you should go on a binge. Put the packet away, have a glass of water, and make the next choice a good one :)

You don't need a gym, or props, or handholding/supportive friends, though it helps. You need one thing only to be a success at this....the will to DO IT.
