I dont think these days i ban ANYTHING from my house. Instead we just limit it and buy what we want on occasion to enjoy life.
Kids and the man love ice cream - but we only buy it about once a month or on special occasions.
we ALL LOVE potato chips so we only stock baked chips in the house to eat with lunches and what not and then on occasion we get regular chips to splurge.
I even buy cookies sometimes when we want something special and sweet.
I think its all a matter of balance. I have taught myself and my kids that its natural to enjoy foods we shouldnt have and not to limit yourself from anything.0

Strangely, I've found I *can* keep just about everything in the house and not overdo it.
Cakes and other baked goods are a problem, though, because I can tell myself they'll go stale if I don't eat them. Never liked the shop-bought ones anyway, but I now only bake if I'm taking it somewhere else or if it will freeze well.0

 Potato chips
 Corn Chips
 Doughnuts
 Snickers
I am married to a thin man who enjoys junk foods in moderation so they are in the cabinets for him. I can't eat just a little bit of the above list so I just pretend I am allergic. I have to completely steer clear of Sonic & McDonalds because I am incapable of making healthy choices there. Anything else seems to work in reasonable portions but the above foods just turn me into a cookie monster.
hmmmm... pretending i'm allergic. I'll have to try that one!0

I have to admit that there's nothing that is banned from my house. I have chocolate (a major weakness), breads, pastas, ice cream...yeah it's all in my house. I haven't bought oreos (which I now want thank you!) but they're not banned, I just haven't picked up any.
Now the top 5 foods that are my weaknesses, that would be: cheese, pasta, chocolate, ice cream, cake 0 0

Dove dark chocolate. I always say I want to have a little chocolate stash for "emergencies" but I always end up eating it when I'm bored.
ah, yes - i've don the same with Trader Joe's Pound of Chocolate .... cant have that in the house anymore 0 0

Honestly there are no foods I can think of that are banned. My partner and I eat totally different. I even do all the baking/cooking etc for her. So I am used to having foods around that are tempting.
Recently I had a friend bring over peanut butter fudge and morning glory muffins. I froze the muffins so I can take them out for days I need an extra calorie boost. And I ate the peanut butter fudge, 1 piece a day if it worked into my calories. Normally I would have eaten the whole tin in a couple of days.
One thing I did throw away was a piece of key lime pie. Red lobster gave us complimentary desserts one night and we brought them home. I checked the calorie content and decided 5 bites was not worth 500+ calories.0

Only thing I dont allow is Hugs, Koolaid, etc those sugar drink marketed to kids. I have a weakness for Oreos and milk, ice cream, most any chip, esp with dip, skittles, Reeses pieces, name it. BUT all that stuff is in my house, bc I have to prove to me I can avoid.
I went 22 months avoiding anything with peanut butter and dairy, bc of allergies w my youngest. It was in the house. But I avoided bc of consequences to her while bf. If I can avoid for her health, I should be able to for mine! There are moments, but I can usu moderate...0
