    Overnight oats:

    1/2 cup quick oats
    scoop of chocolate protein powder
    1 banana
    1 tbsp nutty PB
    1/2 cup of cottage cheese
    1 cup almond milk

Mix ingredients the night before and enjoy in the morning. This is usually my post workout. Comes out to a little over 600 cals 72g carb/52g pro/18g fat

I pretend my oatmeal is hash browns. First batch I ever did I topped it with two eggs over easy, and hot sauce --yum! Next batch, add some mixed veggie in there, add the over easy eggs, hot sauce --second batch is now my favorite breakfast! One day I was out of canned mixed veg so I substited canned mixed fruit --still yummy! I don't know why people think it has to be sweet --not at all! Most people think I'm strange for doing this but it's the only way I eat my oatmeal now.

I chop a whole apple, add cinnamon, fground flax seed and microwave for 3 mins with my 1/2 c old fashion oatmeal. Than I add a tsp of honey with unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Makes a generous servings size and fills up. Sometimes I can't eat the whole portion.

I love steel cut oats, theres something about that nutty flavor and substantial feel that get me.

I throw in Crasins (pomegranate flavor!), chopped pecans, cinnamon & nutmeg with a bit of honey. Nothing fancy but my fave.

I've had cinnamon/peanut butter/apple too. Surprisingly for me, the peanut butter was good in it.

I love to mix it up once in a while and make a savoury oatmeal, you can add a poached or boiled egg, a little cheese some sautéed mushrooms etc. to it, it's really good.
ETA: never done this with anything but steel cut oats, that's all we keep in the house but I LOVES them

Can eat like grits, southern style with salt and pepper. Instead of butter (which is a fat), I like using coconut oil (which is a fat). You can also experiment with any number of herbs and spices, even those you wouldn't normally consider. Have an experiment week if you have the time. Put small amounts of any herb or spice you have on hand on a each spoonful of your oatmeal preparation. Experiment further with those you find interesting, and make note of those you don't.

I just add mixed nuts and dried cranberry and cinnamon. I don't think about it too much, all I know is that I need my oatmeal every morning.

I make it using coconut milk. It makes it so rich and creamy. Also, I add a few raisins. Reminds me of arroz con leche. Yummy

Nuts or granola are a great topping but you have to watch portions as they are high in calories. I often cook apple chunks in the water, with lots of cinnamon so you can add flavor with out a lot of fat and calories. I make a big batch and refrigerate it. It will keep for 5 days. I also like it with some preserves mixed in. Some tart cherry preserves with a few almond slivers is really good!

crack an egg into it when its almost done for extra fluffiness and protein.

For toppings I like Peanut butter, pumpkin puree, if im microwaving it, blueberries are fun because they explode and make it purple :)

Blackberries. I put about 8-10 blackberries in and mash them up. They are my new kick. I also like chopped apples.
  • I don't eat oatmeal I just pour some oats in a bowl and pour some milk in it and enjoy!

I use chia seeds, cacao nibs, walnuts, a splash of grassfed raw milk, honey, and usually a scoop of protein powder. More "other stuff" than oats :blushing:
  • i get those packets of instant stuff. dont have to measure anything so u know exactly how many cals are in it and its ready in less than 2 minutes. plus they come in diff flavors like apple/cinnamon, maple/brown sugar, or this kind i always buy that's blueberry muffin flavor lol i never get bored of that one.
