HELP! I'm losing boobs!

Hi all!
I've been losing weight since November last year and I work out pretty regularly. But I've started to notice recently that I'm losing weight from my boobs!
I just wondered if any of you knew any techniques or exercises to help me preserve my chest?! I'm terrified that I'm going to go back to being flat chested, and I don't think I could cope with that!
Even toning exercises would be much appreciated!
Many thanks all!

Unfortunately, you just kind of have to let them go. Breasts are mostly fat, so when you're eating to lose fat, unfortunately, you don't really get to choose where it comes from.
You can do strength exercises that target your chest, but ultimately, there's not a whole lot you can do.0 -
Boobs are fat, you lose fat when you lose weight. Can't pick and choose unfortunately. Pushups and pec exercises can help the muscles and help them be perkier though.0

I can only hope! I'm the opposite.. I WANT those bulbous balloons outta my face0

Agree with the above posts.0

Fat is going to come off however it wants to. Your predicament is shared by many women, however. There's always plastic surgery once you hit your goal(s). Or...you can stay as-is to preserve what you have.
As for exercises, I don't think you can do anything other than build more mass in your pecs, but not sure how you feel about that look.0 -
Idk, I think it's genetics. I always had bigger boobs than average asian women, even when I was skinny. How old were you when you were flat chested? Is it around your teens or? If so, don't lose hope.0

I think I could settle for small but perky!0 -

I think I moved from an 36A to 36B when I was about 16/17, but that was when I started putting on mega weight. I've since gone up to a 42D!0 -

You are losing fat.
Sorry dear.
BUT the good news is you probably look a whole lot better than you think, even the boobs.0 -

By mega weight, how much weight? it would depend on how much weight you want to lose. If you lose like 20 lbs, you might go down by 1 cup size. My mom has F size breasts and when she lost a massive amount of weight, you can hardly notice the difference on her cup size but it did become a little bit soggy.0 -
I'm kind of glad mine are shrinking. At my highest weight, I would be in total pain by the end of the day - my bra feeling like a vice grip (me, with no bra, at that weight was not a pretty sight!). Now, I don't feel any pain.0

Yes, boobies can be a pain. I experience back pain from it... it would be nice if my cup size go down to B. I'm 34D atm, and wanna lose 20 lbs.0 -

I'm 2lb away from a 20lb loss lol! Between age 15 and now, I have gone from 13st to 18st. Nearly a stone a year! Pretty disgraceful really. I've got another 90-odd pounds to lose yet before I get down to 10.5st like I should be. So I guess that's gonna be quite a lot of boobage!
I think if I can work on keeping them toned so they are the right shape and stuff I will be content. What I don't want is carrier bags for breasts! I'm only 22 - I don't want to look and feel like a granny anymore0 -

Aww, you don't look like a granny! You can lose all those weight and still look pretty with cute breast! I use images of fit women as motivation so I can be like them, and they don't have massive boobies. Cup A and B can be cute!0 -
I would gladly share. I too will be happy to see removal of some of that ponderous weight.0

Welcome to the club! Say goodbye to the girls and look for a good surgeon.0

Sorry honey, but it is inevitable. My trainer has me doing bench press, inclined bench press, and the one where you squeeze because he says it will keep them perky. I don't mind smaller as long as they are better :laugh:0

Implants.
This. My wife went from like a 34dd down to almost a b-cup she has told me I must buy her implants. Which i have no problem with.0 -
I hate this part of losing weight. The only thing you can do is do exercises that focus on building the pec muscles. That way at least what you are left with is lifted and perkier than nothing. I have decided that I will be saving any spare money I come across to pay for implants when I get to and maintain goal.0

where is the pervy guy on here asking for before and after pictures to help you through this horrible process? Oh wait, I guess I'm him today!
As you were!0 -
Unfortunately, that is just what happens. If when you were smaller, they were smaller, then that is likely the direction they are heading. Being small-chested isn't a bad thing you know, embrace it! :drinker:0
-
That's odd . . .
How many boobs have you lost so far?
Have you checked underneath your couch cushions?0 -
When you say "go back to being flat chested" does that mean that before you gained weight you were flat chested? If so, and you were an adult at the time, then you likely will be again if get to the same weight . If you've always been heavy it's hard to determine how much of your breasts are fat and how much is other tissue, but if you used to be thin as an adult you should expect your size and shape to be similar after losing weight.
You can help a little by doing strength training to target the chest muscles. This will help to firm up underneath the breasts. This won't make your breast bigger but it can make them appear a little bigger and firmer.0 -
Implants.
Women could just love themselves for what they look like naturally. That's just my opinion, I realize others may strongly disagree.0 -
I feel your pain!!! I have no advice... you're not alone!0
-
Unfortunately if there is fat in your breasts, it will start to go away as you lose fat elsewhere. But if you are losing all over, you should stay somewhat proportional so it's probably more obvious to you than anyone else.
One tip I have to anyone with boob problems is to measure yourself! Most women are wearing the wrong size bra - and many people don't know that bras go above DDD cups and below 32 bands. But they do! Most women end up wearing bands that are too big and cups that are too small due to poor measuring practices and marketing by big retailers like Victoria's Secret. I would recommend measuring yourself using this guide: http://bustyresources.wikia.com/wiki/How-to_determine_bra_size
It seriously changed everything about how I feel about my boobs. I had been wearing a 36DD bra until I found out that a 32FF is actually perfect for me! Another great resource is http://www.reddit.com/r/abrathatfits
The ladies there are super helpful and can help you find a bra that works for you - which may seem like a challenge, but it's totally worth it! Seriously, try measuring yourself!0 -
Just date a butt man! I have never gone beyond a size "A" cup... (when I hit my goal weight I will havesome room to spare) Even when I was exclusively breatfeeding and engorged (ouch!). They will be small and perky, and sweet-- like hershey kisses... I like the natural look-- no implants, and God made us all in different shapes and sizes to keep life interesting! As long as I never lose my butt, I'm perfectly happy. And a guy once told me "they are boobs-- guys like them no matter what size they are!" At least youare losing... I'm sure you are becoming more proportionate every day!
As for advice, from what I hear, toning the mucles around and underneath keeps them perky, and gives them a nice shape and look.0 -
I disagree with the posts that boobs=fat. Boobs=tissue and vary in size based on a multitude of factors (but mostly genetic). Your boobs were mostly fat (hate to break it to you) but what you uncover underneath are your REAL boobs and no matter how small they are, I'm sure they look better than ones padded with fat, in that I am sure they are perkier and more shapely. I know its an adjustment but the good thing is that because you're getting smaller everywhere else, your new breasts may look more proportional anyways. I have gone through shrinking moments as well and its never fun (I am also smaller than I would like) but its all part of this weight loss thing and no use freaking out about.0

cope?
seems a little dramatic.
you will cope by being in a healthier body!0
