    Once, my husband had to be away for work for a whole weekend. He had just enough time off to sleep, but instead drove 2 hours one way just to make love to me and turned around and drove back. That was pretty darn romantic. :heart:

    We had no money and I had lost my job it was my sisters 40th and I'd promised to get a special cake and we needed to drive far to get to the party. He sold his brand new phone to pay for it all so I could be there for my sister like she always was for me. He had to wait two years for a new contact to get a decent handset to replace the shabby 2nd hand one he was using.

    I don't think romance is always about flowers and chocolate.

    But if I had a spouse that didn't totally suck- I would say the most romantic thing they could do is plan a day spent being lazy together, all snuggled up in bed. I'm relatively easy to please :laugh:
