I used to be fat and ugly too. Then I chose health.
I agree with this. Choose health, choose life.0 -
If you posses the power to complain you posses the power to change

You are awfully hard on yourself. Perhaps that is part of the problem. Just as you wouldn't say such a thing to someone else, try not to be so negative about you. Today is day one, you can change it all one step at a time. It can be done so get going.0

Being overweight does not make you ugly. I find that when I lose my excess weight, I do not feel any happier or sadder than before! The weight loss is good because it makes you healthier and helps you fit into your clothes, it will not make you feel happier necessarily.
I am sure you are not ugly - start to lose weight by exercising that will release endorphins making you feel happier.0 -
Don't hate yourself!
Love yourself, and tell yourself you deserve to get better health and let your inner beauty show on the outside like you want it to!0 -
All this amazing response must make you feel better about yourself already! Learn to love yourself for the person you are and use the fab MFP community to help you look shift the extra pounds!0
-
I agree with others, it is sad that you feel that way about yourself. I have never seen a fat and ugly person here on MFP. I have only seen beautiful people helping others reach their weight and fitness goals. Maybe you should concentrate on what is inside.0

Let's all send him friend request to show him some MFP love
No.™
To "whierd": You are such a hater!!!!!!! If you are on MFP to be a jerk, I think you need to find a different venue. I have seen you post on other topics, and it seems to me that you live to make negative comments. Well, now that I think about it...... maybe you do not like yourself and that you have to make the negative posts to make yourself feel better. I will pray for you.0 -

It is not my fault that you are humor challenged and do not understand when I am being facetious. Your prayers have no power here.0 -
Suggestion:
Put your picture up here so we can all see what you truly look like and offer our honest opinions and judgment.
Because, anonymous internet judgments are always the best way to determine our own personal self worth, agreed?0 -
Would you allow someone else to call you fat and ugly? If not then why do you talk to yourself that way?
Change your inner dialogue!
You can do this!!
I agree with this too. You are SO worth change and making you the best you can be. You can do this and we are here for you.

Self-hated isn't good weight loss motivation. You have to love yourself enough to do all the work that it takes to lose the weight.0

I see the fat. I don't see the ugly.0 -

This is the danger in thinking that you'll feel differently about yourself when you are thin. What if you don't? That's what drives eating disorders...if you can be a certain amount thinner, you'll finally be happy.0 -

very well said!!:)0 -
change your thinking. change your attitude about yourself. love yourself no matter how you feel. don't be led by your emotions. then choose to be healthy and be active.0

Hello. First, you are not ugly, I believe everyone is beautiful. Being fat is something you can change and love yourself. Build your self esteem. Make tiny changes in just what you bring into the home to eat. Drinking water is helping me a lot, having fruits available and small meals can be made in advance. Hang in there.0

Hmmm....I am still excited about my 80 pound loss. I haven't been under 200 pounds in almost 20 years. If you aren't happy, then you might want to seek counseling.0 -
Well at least you can do something about your weight. As for the ugliness, well plenty of ugly people are quite happy, it just requires you to develop a bit of self-esteem to get over it. But I'm sure you're not ugly, that comes from inside as well as out.0

A caution if I may op, as I have seen this mentality before. If you truly feel this way, make sure you feel that way. Dont feel this way because you believe others perceive you this way. The point being that the motivation needed for change should be internal not external. Internal motivation leads to more lasting change. Do not change yourself hoping that it will change the way people perceive you. Become a better you because you are better, not because people think you to be.
very correct!0 -
If that's how you feel about yourself now, you may never be happy with your appearance. Work on the inside.
this, all day long!!!!0 -

True beauty is not on the outside me dear That what is called outer beauty will fade away, inner beauty stays. Don't be too harsh on yourself!0
-
Such harsh and harmful words to say about oneself. This is more of an emotional insecurity than a physical need... no matter what you look like, what size you are your beauty comes from within and by expressing yourself in such matter you are turning the light that can shine that beauty thru.
Take charge or your mind and don't allow those thoughts, when they creep in SHUT THEM DOWN. About being overweight, get moving - 1 step today, 2 steps tomorrow, before you know it you will be on your way of physical changes.0 -
You DID NOT just say that about yourself, James! If that's what you keep telling yourself, that is what you will continue to get! Thoughts Become Things...CHOOSE The GOOD Ones! You are an Amazing human being and creation, and you are here for many reasons...I used to tell myself the same things, for MANY years...It wasn't until about 5 years ago, that I truly learned to love and appreciate myself. So next time you're in the bathroom, or getting ready to leave the house...Look in that mirror, and say, "I love myself and I am Handsome!" (and whatever other awesome things you want to say about yourself...because it's TRUE!) You may not believe it at first, because you have trained your brain over time to believe otherwise. I DARE you to start telling yourself Positive things, James! You can re-train your mind to Believe in yourself like I did, and man, look out! Because you won't believe what an Incredible and Outstanding person you have been hiding in yourself all this time!!! Besides, why shouldn't you think positive about yourself??? Our time on this earth is too short, and you have many things to accomplish yet, and I just know you are going to amaze us all with your own transformations!!! You GOT this James!!! Once Again...THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS...CHOOSE THE GOOD ONES!0

You are not fat or ugly! it's all in your head. You are a gorgeous human being that is loved0
