    I am such a LOTR geek!!! This is a great challenge!! It is a lot farther than 1100 miles though, if you follow Frodo and Sam. I started this the end of April, 2008 and still have not made it to Mordor. The world would be speaking the Black Speech if left up to me. It is 458 miles from Bag End to Rivendell, 462 miles from Rivendell to Lothlorien, 389 miles from Lothlorien to Rauros and 470 miles from Rauros to Mt. Doom. I am at the opening to Shelob's Lair. Feel free to add me as we all start or continue on this journey!!
