Where do you ladies find your bras? I think the last I was fitted I was a F or something like that but can't ever find a bra that size so I shove them into the largest I can find which if I am lucky is a DDD. I am hoping that I will lose in that area so this will not continue to be a problem.

i am a 34F, which is pretty much the same as 36DDD so i get them at Lane Bryant and they fit perfectly.

I used to be a 38 D - and I loved it!!! Boobs were my thing. NOW- try a 34 B, and most of that B is loose skin. I am saving money to get an "enhancement!"

Wow, I have lost 10 pds in the past and my boobs stayed the same - 38DD - wondering how much weight it would take me to lose to go down to a 38D. I would be fine with that! I think it depends on the person though in how and where they gain and lose the weight.

I thought I was a 36 D before I lost my weight and thought I was a 34 C after losing 40 lbs. I got measured since my bras were uncomfortable and was told I was a 32 DD-they didn't look that size to me and I didn't believe them, so I got measured again by someone else and she told me I was a 32 DD. They were right, a DD fits comfortably. So I honestly don't know what size I was before losing weight, but they're a lot smaller now than before.

I've been a 38A since I first developed boobs. They got a bit fuller when I put on weight and I believe they're still bigger than the last time I weighed this much, so yay? :drinker:

Thanks ladies for sharing this info. This is not something that I had considered before taking this journey, but I am excited. I have only lost 7 lb so far, so I have not seen any loss yet. Thanks for sharing.

it is strange how some people loose boob and some don't. I didn't change at all cup wise but i was busting out of my 36Ds and now they fit great...lost a little around the ribs. At my skinniest I was a 34D.

I've still got lots of sizes to go down (and very much look forward to that!) but I've gone from a DDD to a D & I've gone down 3 band sizes. I seem to be dropping a size every 6 weeks to 2 months. I got some bras on sale & have what I hope will be the next size down, too. That worked last time I did it. Going by my past my experience my band size is likely to go down faster & more than the cup size.

I'll be happy to get down to a B cup. That is the smallest I've ever been. I have never in my life been an A. lol...

Replacing bras is one of the biggest expenses when losing lots of weight. You can get away with wearing tops a bit big but baggy bras just won't do.

At high weight I was 44B, low weight my bra size was 38DD... Now I've gained weight and I'm wearing 38DDD (cause VS doesn't carry 40... otherwise I think I'd be a 40DD based on the measurement.)

Curious what I'll be at goal weight...

Me, I'm only losing around the ribcage. I have gone from a 44DD to a 36K..and there is nothing artificial in them.
  • I have lost 130+ lbs....went from 48G to a 38G. I really would like to lose some cup size too so I could find bras at regular stores and prices!!

A total of 24 pounds down. Thankfully only rib cage number has went down. From a 42 to a 38, on the second row of clasps. Once I get comfortable on the third and tightest row of clasps, I'm heading to VS and buying a 36. My cup size still remains the same, DD. Hoping the ladies continue to hang on...LOL

Only changed from 36DD to 34DD
  • Wow I'm boobless compared to you ladies

Went from 36C to 34B :explode:

HAHA that's exactly what I was thinking!

I was a full 32C and could probably fit into a 32B now... but I'm too cheap to buy new bras.

Thank god I've lost barely anything, except around the bust. I went from a 44C (nasty) to a 38C after 60 lbs lost in the past year.

i have lost 230lbs went from a 48DDD to a 34C (really need a 32C but cant find it any where) i am ok with the size of them i just wish they were as full as they were before. bc of the extra skin i look like i have 90 year olds boobs and i am only 27. i would just once would like to wear a strapless shirt with out having to layer a tank top under it so i can wear a bra with it bc i cant ever wear a strapless bra. and even with a bra they don't sit were they should but cant wear a push up bra either bc all the skin just falls over the top no matter what size i get. so i have just got very creative with tops.

How come almost no shops go any larger in band than a 38?

I think that's a size 14 UK, right? So shops that sell 16/18 in their normal ranges, those measurements are around 40-42 in the chest, yet they never have those in bras. Most even go up to 20 and above that with plus size ranges, yet have no plus size bras. What are all these women wearing I wonder? Are they buying a size 20 dress and squeezing into a size 14 bra?? I don't get it.

    what???
    no...
    just no

1- bandsize does not necessarily have any relation to dress size.
2- usually someone who is properly wearing a 38 band would wear a US 14-16-18 which is a UK 18-20-22 not a 14, ever. A Uk 14 is a US 10 (or Medium) and anyone who wears a size 10 and is wearing a 38 Band is wearing the wrong size
3-bust measurement is over the boobs, and this is what you need to buy a dress
4- bra band measurements are taken below the boobs, and often has little correlation to what size clothing you need, unless you have tiny boobs and a huge ribcage.
5- plus size bras are EASY to find in the US. many brands and stores stock up to a 46-48. what is HARD to find is SMALL bands with big cups, such as a 32J for example.

Ahhh this actually makes sense. Dress size measurement goes over the boobs!

I do think UK and US sizes are only 1 different though.. so a 14 would be a 12. And it is very difficult to find plus-sizes here. there are shops which do DD+ but most often still in the same band sizes.
