    "You can't out-exercise a bad diet."

ETA - "Bad diet" I have taken to mean, simply, too much!

Best one so far was to use MFP.

I really never believed it would help as much as it has. I'm very grateful. :)

Pick heavy things up and put them down. It took me a long time to come to the mountain on that one.

Just do it. Yeah, I don't want to right now...but just do it. I'm always happy I did it later, so just do it. Whatever IT is, whether its a session at the gym, a walk, another glass of water, another healthy meal instead of a trip to Mickey D's, whatever. Just decide and just do it.

Food doesnt have to wow your taste buds, it just has to taste just so .
This statement made me think, if my taste buds are wowed I'll want more. Itsfine to wow your taste buds, but it doesn't have to be every day.

TDEE - 20% is at the top of the list. No more deprivation diets. I've lost the most weight since I started trying 3+ years ago and I'm not hungry all the time.

    Also:
Inches lost > pounds lost. In the end, how I look & feel is what matters most, not what the scale says
Lifting heavy weights = looking and feeling strong & sexy.

Wow, amazing advice- I've never thought of it, but I will certainly keep it in mind from now on.
Many days I see the scale and feel like it's never going to move again- it just makes me want to eat a box of cookies. But I pretend it is because I'm hungry. This is a pretty good motivator- just tell myself if I want to eat a dozen apples, then I may.

"Eat way more veggies... and just a little bit of the white rice. Too much rice and you get fat." my mom

Should have listened! Although the bags of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups probably didn't help, either...

    My grandmother:

You can't become what you wish to be if you remain as you are.

Once a task is begun, never stop until its done. Be the labor great or small, do it well or not at all.

From my straight-taking doc: "I don't care what numbers you throw at me, if you aren't losing weight, you're eating too much".

    ;) He was totally right.

    It's a lifestyle & everyday counts!
We are all human & can't be perfect 100% of the time but the better choices you make the healthier you will be!

When I want to eat bad I remind myself that "Although it may not hurt me it won't help me!"
When I want to quit I remind myself "If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up!"
When I feel lazy I remind myself that "You're one workout away from a good mood!"

One funny saying that I love is "you're not a dog, don't reward yourself with food."

What you eat in private, you wear in public.

Your body keeps an accurate diary, regardless of what you write down.

Something I just learned today and will apply to my life:

For us girls/ladies...when it's "that" time--DON"T weigh yourself at all, just wait until it's over. I'm going to do that starting NOW!

    Some others are:

    Don't stop when you're tired...stop when you're finished.

You can't outrun your fork AND you can't out exercise a poor diet.

    Sweat is fat crying.

Being Fat and flabby is not only unattractive, it's unhealthy--think about this and then do something about it EVERYDAY until it's gone and you're slim and trim!

Log your food. I'm a glutton when I don't write it down!

I must admit I hate logging my food but I believe it is the only way i CAN DO IT!

Set small attainable goals for yourself to start out with. When you reach these, set new small goals to keep from becoming discouraged. Never think 5 lbs doesn't make a difference. Try carrying a 5 pound bag of sugar around with you the next time you do not feel like this is much.
