    As a fellow spinal cord injury survivor I was encouraged by your post and by your success. I too suffered a similar injury to yours back in 1986 after falling 40 feet out of a tree.

    I however chose to wait 29 years to follow my doctor's suggestion and lose weight and get healthy. In hindsight I look back on 29 years of inactivity and regret not working hard to get healthy.

    I am rapidly moving in on my goal weight and will not stop until I get there and maintain. Already I see the difference in how my back responds to the new me. I have more endurance and can lead a more active lifestyle.
