A word to the wise... stick with straight up sugar on this! I swapped the white sugar for truvia. They tasted good warm, but once they were cooled off it left a weird aftertaste. Total waste of good peanut butter. :(

    Live and learn, right?
  • Going to try them tomorrow...thanx...

  • My grandmother used this recipe, too. No soda, but she would put in 1 tsp vanilla.

I'm inputting the recipe into MFP (and halving it) and coming out with a very different calorie/sugar count for the cookies!

    Mine says:

91 calories each cookie, with 8 grams of sugar and 5g of fat! That's very different from 68 cals 2.9g fat and 4.3g of sugar in the original post.

The peanut butter is Maranatha creamy (no sugar/oil/anything added - except a touch of sea salt)
and I even used an egg white only, not a whole egg.

    What am I doing wrong?

How about pb2 instead or half .i love that stuff but when making cookies it dont bring out that really good peanut flavor ...but it saves tons of cals.its worth it .

I think it might be the serving size.

I don't think so - OP's serving size also seemed to be 1 cookie.
Unless you mean the peanut butter. I took it down to a little over 1/3 of a cup and that got it closer. Wonder if they will be the same though.
And that doesn't account for the difference in sugar.

Edit: I took the white sugar down to 6 teaspoons only, that brought my sugar down to 6g per cookie. Still more than the 4 in OP. :(
