  • Lots of people like that might be gaining muscle and losing fat when they exercise, which they might be getting healthier but not losing a lot of weight, or even gaining weight.

Cause sometimes we screw up and have to start over (or midway) again.

    True story

I love pics of those people! They can look 30 lbs lighter and be at the same weight. Now that's dedication without letting the scale rule your health/ diet/ fitness goals. Those people are my heroes!

i just realized i'm one of the people you're talking about, haha. i joined in 2010 out of curiosity because i didn't know what it was. didn't need to lose weight at the time, nor was i concerned with what i was putting in my body, so i didn't sign in for about, oh you know, three years. now it's 2013 and it looks like i've been active for 3.5 years, but really it's only been 65 days. the end.

Some are in a constant battle to beat that last five or ten pounds off. I'm here out of habit and the need to "check up on myself" and make sure I'm eating well enough. I might not log for several months, and then pop in and log obsessively for several weeks. Gotta make sure I'm eating enough and that my sugar levels aren't even more sky high than I already know they are...

To get healthy. I made a new account when I rejoined so I wouldn't have to deal with people being like "omgz you've been here a year and only lost 11 pounds? Why are you even here?" Even this one is inaccurate because I joined in February, but didn't actually start until April 1st. Like another person said. **** happens. People die. End of story.

I think some people like myself I been on here actively for a month. I created my account about a year ago. I signed on initially and forgot about the account. So that explains the gap in time. The weight loss, well I am not so worried about the weight loss, I am more worried about losing size. I weight train so when I lose fat it turns into muscle. So that is my duration and weight loss.

I started here with a crappy attitude...thinking...this will NEVER work. I have lost 30 pounds now. I love the people I interact with on here. When I have bad weeks (yes weeks) someone will tell me off and get me back where I need to be. I have met so many great people on here that even when I do reach my goal I will still log in everyday.

    Dear Posters,

I wanted to offer a brief explanation for the locking of this thread.

The forum guidelines includes these items:

    1. No Attacks or Insults and No Reciprocation

    a) Do not attack, mock, or otherwise insult others. You can respectfully disagree with the message or topic, but you cannot attack the messenger. This includes attacks against the user’s spelling or command of written English, or belittling a user for posting a duplicate topic.
    b) If you are attacked by another user, and you reciprocate, you will also be subject to the same consequences. Defending yourself or a friend is not an excuse! Do not take matters into your own hands – instead, use the Report Post link to report an attack and we will be happy to handle the situation for you.

    2. No Hi-Jacking, Trolling, or Flame-baiting

Please stay on-topic within a forum topic. Off-topic or derogatory remarks are disrespectful. Please either contribute politely and constructively to a topic, or move on without posting. This includes posts that encourage the drama in a topic to escalate, or posts intended to incite an uproar from the community.

    4. Show Respect to All Groups and Individuals
No derogatory references to sex, gender, weight, body-type, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation, or endorsement of violence against any person or group, even if couched in humor, will be permitted. This includes expressing stereotypes about any group or community.
