Finished Level 1 Day 5 today. I made it through but barely. My knees and ankles are really hurting. I am going to see how I feel tomorrow but I might need a day off or just focus more on my upper body for a day. Any suggestions. Thanks0

i finished level 1 day 5 today! i noticed that i feel much better and don't get sore if i warm up properly beforehand (on top of the basic warm up jillian has). i've had time in the mornings this week so i've been going for a 20 minute run before, but i think i might just start jogging in place for 5-10 minutes before. i feel like im able to do the sets in 30 day shred much better when my muscles are warmed up, and it helps with not injuring myself too.0

Maybe stretch out more before and after your workout?? A day off isnt going to hurt either....just get right back on the train the next day. Maybe ice your knees a bit as well. I had to do that when I was training for the half marathon....0 -
I would love to join your group! Is it too late? I just finished Level1, day 3 today. My starting weight was 165, current weight: 162.6, and my goal weight is 135. I really would love the support and motivation from a group that is doing the same workout that I'm doing! Keep up the good work guys!0

Day 8 Level 1!!! I felt really strong today!! especially in my arms! The pushups are working :bigsmile: Even though I'm on day 8, I still felt challenged today. I give it all I've got. Feels Great!!!

It's a work out dvd by Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser). It has three levels, of three circuits. it involves strength, cardio and abs. You do it every day for 30 days.0 -

I'd love you have you as a myfitness pal friend. I'm not sure how the "friend thing work" here. I did this program last year & did NOT have success (due to no friends)! I really want to change my life! I've got at least 20 lbs to go but would do 25 if I can.
I live in the SF bay area (am 40) & have you very young girls (4.5 & 3). I gained all my weight from the pregnancy & never really lost it.
Please help! I need all the support I can get.
I do FBook, but never post...I'm too private so I don't really know the ins/outs...do you??

A bit late to the party, but just did day 1 of level 1 - I've done the 30 day shred a few times in the past, and it always produced incredible results - so I kept telling myself that today while I huffed and puffed through the workout, hah! Felt GREAT afterwards. But dreading, dreading, dreading more static lunges/bicep curls. Anyone have any advice for these? What a killer!0

After a while I will probably stop taking measurements of my arms and legs they are already small, although untoned. It's hard to take the measurement in the same place every time in those areas, so once it starts looking toned I'm not gonna worry about it. I'm afraid one small displacement of the measurement tape will make me think I lost or gained when I actually haven't. I didn't even bother taking my calves for this reason. My main concerns are my hips, waist and chest/back.0 -

Okay, my knees are HURTING!!!! So disappointed! All the exercises were getting easier EXCEPT for the jumping jacks. So, I did days 1-3 and rested for two days (which may not be such a horrible thing, I was just really trying to push myself since it's only about a 20 minute workout). I'm hoping I'll be able to start again tonight.
If your knees are hurting, stop!! You can blow out your knee. You are not doing proper form with something. Everything else should hurt, but not your knees.0 -

Hey Everyone!!:bigsmile: Check in! Day 10, Level 1 & Circuit one of Level 2. I felt super good after I finished Level One so I decided to jump right into Level 2 and see how far I could get. :laugh: Yahhhh so I got through the first circuit and then thought I was going to die. I feel super shakey right now so I guess it worked and I kept my body guessing which is what weight loss is all about. So I'm pretty proud today. Great job Jay!! I've had a couple of days where I've had to take off, but am completing level 1 day 8 tonight. The first day I dont think I could do more than 6 push ups (yes I'm that weak). My son counted for me the other day and I did 20 in the first go round!!! Seeing/feeling a little of a difference, here is to getting stronger!! :-)0

I finished Level 1, Day 9 last night. Depending on how I feel after work today (since I wake up at 3:30 a.m. on saturdays) I will complete Level 1 today, if not today, definetly tomorrow. I am starting to notice a change in my arms and stomach.0

I've been mia for a couple days. I had a massage on Friday and turns out I have a popped out rib, so I was taking it easy for a couple days. I'll be back into it possibly tomorrow. Keep it up everyone!!! Keep checking in!0
