    My favorite city to go is Grand Rapids since they seem to add a new brewpub every other month and it gives me an excuse to stop at the Greenbush Brewpub once on the way in and once on the way home.

    I went on a Beerventure to Michigan in Febuary. I hissed at the Universty as i drove by ..lol

    Best beer I ever had was from the Great Divide Brewery. It was a 15th anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA. Most Double IPAs are pretty bitter, but the aging in a wood barrel made this beer smoother than any I've had.

    Beer! My favorite meals of the day. I'm a big craft beer drinker. Oklahoma has some really good up and rising craft breweries now. Also, lucky for me, I love to homebrew. I have a belgian golden ale fermenting right now. I hopped it up with citra and amarillo hops and it's going to be AMAZING!

    Kentucky has a light ale too. At 125 calories and 4.3% ABV, it's my go-to when I'm watching cals. It's doesn't have the Kentucky Bourbon flavor because it isn't aged like Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is, but it's a wonderful German Kölsch and doesn't taste like most crappy mainstream light beers.

    I probably drink more homebrew than anything else as of late but I always try to find something new when I am out and about. That being said, I will almost never turn down an IPA or anything on cask.

    I have Third Shift because I heard good things about it. Yeah, last time I try a beer based on that friend's recommendation... Bleh...

    Hah! The bad part about doing it on someone's recommendation is that a good six pack costs 8-12 dollars and I know I'm only going to drink 1-2 at a time, so I hate buying more than one. :tongue:

    I love Craft Beers. I'm actually hosting a craft beer party for friends at the end of July where everyone has to bring a different craft beer(s). They all get pooled together and then people take whatever they want to try. My favs would have to be Dogfish 90-minute IPA, Unibroue Grand Reserve 17, Don De Dieu and Delerium. Liking craft beers can be an expensive hobby especially when some single bottles sell for up to $20 a piece.

    hey great thread, im a good beer lover, although i dont drink anywhere near as much as i used to for obvious reasons. Im from London, i recently went on a day trip with some mates to Belgium.

    LET ME TELL YOU, THE SPECIALIST BEERS IN BELGIUM ARE OTHERWORLDLY!!!!

    you can forget what you've had before, get yourself down to Cafe Delirium in Brussels and sample their selection of beers on tap or bottled. Nothing i've ever had comes close, Belgium is the best !!

    a couple of weeks ago me and pretty much the same mates were at a local beer festival organised by CAMRA, there were some decent beers, but nothing compares to the Trappist (Rochefort) and Lambic (Moeder Lambic) offerings from Brussels. IMHO.

    i'm a fan of strong dark ales with fruitcake notes. dont mind stouts or chocolate porters. cant stand dry/crisp beers.

    some nice UK brewerys are Innis & Gunn (Rum Cask ale!), Badger, Batemans and some others
    particular favs are:- Manchester Star Ale, Poachers Choice, Adnams Broadside to name a few...

    Damn I miss some good Belgian and Trappist beers. All we have here in the Middle East is Leffe and that stuff tastes like crap. I REALLY wish I brewed an IPA or similar before I deployed. It would've tasted amazing after letting it condition for 6-7 months.

    Count me in! I am mostly a stout guy, with a fondness for Founders, Southern Tier, and Mill St. That said, this summer my beer of choice is Southern Tier Hop Sun with 155cal a bottle. Also love Creemore Springs Kellerbier in summer too.

    Brewer, beer judge, generally just love the stuff. Started out brewing since I loved Belgian and English ales and couldn't get them any other way (20-ish years ago), but now my of my faves are brewed in the US.

    I had no idea there was a craft beer group, but will definitely check it out!

    Can I come to your craft been party. I love Dogfish 90-minute and Delirium bar in Brussels was like heaven for me. Can be difficult to get lots of different stuff down here in Tasmania but there is one store that stocks some cool stuff. IPAs are my favourite but also into most other styles (except can't stand most wheat beer). I'm loving Mountain Goat Rare Breeds and Cross Breeds - they come out with some awesome stuff. Also a fan of Brewdog, Holgate and Stone to name a few
