Forks Over Knifes

Just watched "Forks Over Knives" on Netflix...

Normally I can see the two sides to each documentary...But this one made so much sense!!!

Has anyone watched this documentary? Opinions?

Dollface, where do I begin? From the corruption of big agra to the foisting a diet on Americans rich in animal protein, this is only one eye-opening documentary on the landscape.

This blew me away when I first saw it, and it haunts me still.

I really liked this documentary. It further enforced why I am a vegetarian. Big agra is really awful for the environment which I have witnessed firsthand in California and even American banana plantations in Costa Rica. I feel like big agra and pharma companies are just fueling each other's wealth.

    I saw it. Interesting stuff...

For the polar opposite watch Fat Head, free on Hulu

    I deduced two things:

Avoidance of artificial carbs fixes/mitigates many health problems.

Diet doesn't matter - intake v output matters.

Many people criticize the research cited in Forks Over Knives as being inaccurate and flawed. Science has always been my brain's weak point, so I can't really get in on the argument. However, I ate 100% vegan after watching it... and quit after about 2 months. I still support anyone who feels vegan is the way to go :)

Guilt tripping is an effective way to get people to act and react. I like meat too much to ever become a vegan. But I do have vegan friends and clients.

    Exactly.

I don't hate on vegans, and I have some vegan and raw foodists friends.

I'm just sick and tired of that certain group of vegans (cause it is not all of them) who want to hate on us meat and dairy eaters. It makes me want to cook a pig on a spit in my front yard and invite them over while I videotape their reactions.
