I've been keeping up with my calories but I've been working out at the same time. I haven't lost weight. Could that be because I'm gaining muscle?

You wouldn't be gaining muscle if you are not lifting heavy or if you have a deficit too large. You need to be on a surplus to build any real amounts of muscle.0
