I have several friends with big boobs and they wish they were smaller. They have to wear multiple sports bras to work out and I barely need one. They are small and always have been but no after losing 20lbs I'm barely an A but I never have to worry about clothes fitting me in the chest and besides push up bras have padding :) No worries just be confident in WHATEVER you got! That is the most attractive quaility about a person, their confidence!! We need to impress that among other females, we try to hard to be "perfect"

I am currently completely happy with how my boobs are dealing with the weight loss! I have gone from a 40G to a 36G and they feel firmer, but they are just a little lower than I would have liked!

Fingers crossed they dont change too much more!

You came onto this site to lose the weight and congratulations, you have done it. You cannot pick and choose where the weight loss comes from, however smaller boobs mean a more natural physique. If you are looking fit and toned, then you should naturally have smaller boobs with the reduced body fat.

the size of your boobs do not matter in the long term goals and if it really does make you feel miserable then I would suggest you look at the reasons why you think boobs make you happier and improve your self esteem.

You have to love the body you have, no matter the size. You can always alter your weight but do so in a consistant healthy way.

I used to be busty and I love being smaller. It is more comfortable and looks better with the sportier figure, remember some of the most attractive strong people in the celebrity world don't have big busts and have never altered that.

Also there are good quality clothes out there that can help shape women.

Women and men need to love themselves more. Everyone is different and no one is perfect.

Hey ladies :) I'm getting really down about losing my boobs along with the weight loss. I tried on a dress yesterday and just broke down in tears, as its like I have nothing up top anymore compared to before. They were the only part of me I liked before losing weight as well.
I still have around 10ish pounds to lose and to be honest the thought of my boobs getting even more smaller is making me not want to bother, I know this is stupid but its how I feel right now.

Has anyone felt down about their boobs while losing weight? How did you deal with it? Thanks for any feedback xx

I felt tat way too. I'm 5'6 and at my previous weight of 145lbs (baby weight not included because that's another ball park) I had 34Ds that I was quite proud of. When I got down to a weight where I was happier (112lbs) they had shrunk to 28C which doesn't seem like a lot but i was basically flat chested because its like a 32A so quite a difference. I was so upset. I was finally just about happy with my thighs but hated my boobs. It's hard to find a middle ground. I just got a good bra and tried not to worry. I think I might settle for a slightly higher weight this time and work on gaining muscle instead of losing weight. Hopefully that will help.

ETA: I'd love a boob job but hubby is extremely against them so we will see what happens after we're done having kids

I've lost over a foot from my chest measurement since I started losing weight. I went to put on a strapless dress a couple weeks ago, that fit me just fine this time last year, and it literally fell down around my feet. I gave it to a friend who is much better endowed than I am.

Yeah, it sucks, because I did like my boobs before. But I'm even happier with how I look, overall, so it balances out. Don't think I'd say no if someone offered me a boob job at the end of all this, though! :ohwell:

I really haven't lost much size, just have gotten a little saggy. But, I'm okay with that as I'm healthy now. I never had large boobs, anyway; I was a small C at my highest weight and am now a B. And, with my smaller belly, they actually look larger. Go fig.

Congrats on your weight loss so far :flowerforyou:

I'm experiencing the same thing!!! Nothing can be done unfortunatley, our body decides where we lose the fat.
Sucks I know, but I'd rather be healthy and fitter.

I'm nearing my goal weigh too and I'm just buying slightly more padded bra's lol!

I'm a little older than you but have considered having a boob job but that is an absolute last resort and not even on my timeline at the moment.

Good luck with the rest of your weight loss.

Thank you so much :) Well done on your loss too!! x
  • Its quite disappointing. I don't have much to lose to begin with(34B) but notice slight changes that will most likely continue as I continue to get to my goal weight. Best thing you can do is chest exercises so at least you can keep what you end up with from sagging :/

And when you do reach your goal weight, buy yourself a really nice fitted push up bra. Coming from someone whose always had small boobs, push up bras can really make a difference :)

Ladies you are not defined by your breast size. Way to much is put on having large breasts and thinking they look good. Mother nature didn't give a female breasts for any other reason but to feed a child , not to make your clothing look good. I have always been large breasted, 42DD and let me tell you it's way over rated. You have a hard time finding tops that fit and look right plus they pull on your back, neck and shoulders.
You have all done a remarkable job with your weight loss so be proud of yourself because it's not an easy task. I plugging away at mine each day. It's a little slower going than I would like but it's going. Hold up your head and throw out that chest, whatever you have of it, and be proud and healthy. Get a new bra and get about living your life. Yea for us...

Cup size and band size go together -- your cup size isn't absolute, it reflects the difference between your rib measurement and your around-the-biggest-bit measurement.

Why am I saying that? Because if you lose evenly from back fat and rib cage fat and from your breasts, you might maintain that difference. So going from a 36D to a 34D does mean that your breasts have gotten smaller, but they haven't gotten smaller compared to your torso!!

I'm actually glad I'm losing my boobs, means I don't have to pay stupid prices for bra's anymore! Although, I am still wearing my original sized bra's - when I finally/eventually get to the weight I've set myself, I'm going to go and get properly measured again, chuck out all my old bras and get some nice new ones!

I hear ya! I have about six more lbs to lose and I have lost all of my boobs. Like completely gone. Being pregnant twice damaged a lot of the breast tissue and now I'm almost totally flat. Having small boobs is one thing, being flat is another! But I am still 100 times happier with myself and body now. I'm proud that I'm creating a body I want and changing what I can.

yeah my weight hasn't decreased in about a month but my boobs have shrunk a little! I think it can be contributed to gaining muscle and losing fat. Full D to a now empty D... probably more like a C. Having a partner saying positive things about you helps though :)
'little miss lost some weight!' (crappy translation) makes me feel OK about the boob shrink.

Boobs are boobs, your partner will love you nevertheless and there are such things as push up bras ;)

edit: depends on your starting weight... but mine are perkier! DO CHEST PRESSES! they work a charm ;) it is a bit depressing to see the girls disappear but health + energy + fitness is about 1000 times more important :)

I have been up and down with weight a few times, and I hear ya about losing the boobs and the fear of them going down below a C. Proportion. Get a bra that fits really nice. Now that you're a C you can go into Victoria secret and get one of those va-va-voom push up bras that you would have never fit into before. Explore your lingerie options. It is sad to lose them, but the best thing you can do it try to turn it into a positive. Try out some lady stores, try on new and fun sexy lingerie that big busted woman just, can't make work. They can...but, with the nice boob to waist ratio you have going on it will be easier for you to accomplish. Getting yourself into sexy lingerie that YOU think YOU look "D*AMN SEXY!" in will really boost your confidence. Heck, I took my husband with me into the fitting room and showed off all the different styles, I didn't buy them all, sometimes I didn't buy any. But it made me feel good to see my proportionate body nicely paired with well fitting flattering lingerie. I suggest trying it out, you may be surprised how much you enjoy your new proportionate body.

I lost about 30 pounds plus I was nursing an infant. I lost all that weight, plus stopped nursing, and I went from a DD to barely a C. That's a big change. I'm deflated, literally. I don't mind the smaller breasts but hate that they are deflated. :(

I've always been on the small side, but where I am now is ridiculous. I was always happy to be on the smaller side so i didn't have that extra bounce while being active, but now I look like a pre-teen before her first training bra! I feel your pain!!

I understand completely! Ive never disliked my boobs until I lost weight. I was a b, got pregnant and breastfed and was a C. Stopped breastfeeding and now Im an A!!!!!!!! I hate it, I never cared about my boobs until I lost them all. I wear padded bras out but Im still super self conscience about them when Im naked. I guess its just a sacrifice we have to make for healthy.

Ladies - confidence does not come from boobs. Confidence comes from accomplishing a fantastic goal you set for yourself. Whether it was to lose 10 lbs, 50 lbs, 100+ lbs. You should feel GOOD about that. Do some weight training to build your pecs which will help the girls look bigger. But you should feel accomplished about being healthier and slimmer. :flowerforyou:

I dont think its silly at all for you to be experiencing these thoughts and the emotions you are having! Im totally there with you - As some of the others said - obviously id rather be healthy and fit - than fat with bigger boobs - but it still doesnt help that feeling inside - aside from getting a boob job - which isnt in most of our budgets lol - i just try to find the prettiest - sexiest - laciest - padded bras that help lift and give me cleavage i can find - oh and getting properly sized also helps - :)

Okay, as a guy I don't really understand this. But what I do know is, at least from my perspective, boob size is irrelevant. What I have seen is the increased confidence and energy that comes with losing weight, acheiving your goals, and getting fit. Regardless of body type, those things are much more attractive than any boob/hip/butt sizes. Remind yourself that you have acheived something special. You feel wonderful (except for boob size). Just be yourself...the new you.

I will go back to my corner now.

I agree with other posters that said to get measured and buy a pretty bra that fits. It will make you feel a little bit better. If you haven't been measured at a Victoria Secret in the last few years, go there. I'm pretty sure they do vanity sizing, which for me helps, even though I know what they're doing. I went from a 36C to a 34B and was having mixed feelings about it. However, I just got measured at VS and was told I am a 32 DD. I knew it was size magic/marketing on their part meant to make me feel good and pay extra for a bra, BUT it worked. I did in fact feel good about it and happily paid twice as much for a bra that has the letters DD on the tag : )

maybe look at it another way, whats more important, being healthy or having big boobs?

I have come to look at it this way. Yeah, it's sad that I could probably wear a training bra now    but the rest of me is looking pretty dang good!!!:smokin:
