I have no choice in the matter. It's sad, really.

Too clever a response to be true.

I think a couple should have a good balance of intelligence. While I have a college degree, my bf didn't even finish high school. However, he can always educate me on life things and I can return the favor in some subjects.

No. Don't really feel like this warrants an explanation.

    No way, no how.

Looks are moderately important and I can get last them with the right personality. But intelligence (not education, but INTELLIGENCE) and a sense of humor are essential.

I'd be careful with this classification.

In my experience, people are generally VERY bad at estimating their own intelligence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect).

And, particularly in younger people, "intelligence" all too often means "agrees with my preconceived notions about politics, religion, definition of what should be tracked as water, etc."

I can't afford to be picky. I'll date anyone who's nice to me.

Absolutely not... that is most of the turn on!

What happens when the beauty fades and you are left with, "Hello?!? SQUIRREL!!"

I do pity you. Your husband can barely hold a conversation with words more than one syllable.

Thankfully for most I see, there is a LOT of leeway and they shouldn't have problems dating.

As long as they are willing to learn sure. I am definitely not smart in a lot of areas, but if you have the ability to want to learn then your golden.

I never could date someone consierably less intelligent. The few tests I've taken put me at an IQ about 118-120. So I'm not a genius or anything. I have had no issues with dating (in my single days) someone of average to a little higher than my intelligence. My wife is in about the same range as I am but she'd probably tell you differently...lol.
