Honestly, I don't know what my goal weight is! When I was in college on dance team, I weighed about 130-140 lbs, but I'm not completely sure as I never got on a scale because I was told by my dance instructors that I was overweight, and well it scared me from ever stepping on a scale, even though I was good enough to be one of the captains of the team and could do all the moves. I would love to be as "overweight" as I was back then, but I was in my 20s and now I'm going to turn 40 this year and had a kid so not sure that will happen, lol. I've been overweight since I graduated college, starting with my sit-down office job right after college and never learning to eat properly, I was always physiclly active so I never learned about all that stuff.
How do you decide your weight goal? Just wondering how other people came to their numbers.0 -
My goal was originally 195, but if I ever got down to that weight Im pretty sure people would assume I had some sort of internal eating bacteria.
My goal weight : 220

I'm 5'4 and right now I'm aiming for 150, from there I'll decide whether or not I should lose some more weight.0

I'm 6'1" and 25 years old.
Started My Fitness Pal: 267 lbs.
Current: 249 lbs.
Goal: 180 - 190 lbs.
Not 100% sure of my goal weight because my "normal" BMI range is 175, but I was 170 in high school at this height and I looked like I never ate food. I just want to be able to run for over a mile and not be out of breath for 5+ minutes and be more agile. I've already lost 18 pounds since starting this site and I already feel way more energetic and healthy. The first 18 pounds came off in a matter of 10-11 days, now its at a halt and I haven't changed anything, I guess its called water weight so now I am on to fat loss. Counting calories and nutrients on a digital spreadsheet is way easier than guessing in my head all day.

I don't have a goal weight. I will be happy when I see my feet and I can walk faster than 2.5 miles an hour without huffing and puffing. I can walk just about that fast, without it being too hard, but I wanna go faster.0

Ultimately, I want to be about 170 at some point in life but I would love to see the 100's again and be happy to be there. I started at 315 and am at 295 right now.0

I think I would be happy around 145-150, I'm 5' 7" so I think that is realistic and reachable.0
