What does your S/O think of MFP?

I just hide it from her.
I also choose not to tell all the ladies on my friends list that I'm married with 3 kids.

I don't have a S/O....but do have a man friend -- he doesn't know I use an online site to log my food or converse with people. He knows I like to workout and that I'm doing a tough mudder at the end of june. Otherwise I dont' talk about it with him.
When I talk about my MFP friends, I just say a friend of mine who lives outta state - not a lie, very true.
This came up when I had the pleasure of meeting one of my friends on here last weekend - I didn't even tell the buddy who was with me how I knew them hahahaha0 -
She loves it but is not on it. We don't do jealousy in our house or relationship..we also trust one another...Old School for sure, but she has seen me lose a ton of weight here and develop some great relationships with both genders. She's one killer babe in every way!0

Mine certainly doesn't care. He does find much of the health advice on here pretty funny though.0
-
I don't think he has an opinion about me using the site except for when I tell him how many calories are in a slice of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. Then he gets mad.0

I only just signed up on MFP the other day, so I don't even know if my husband really knows what it is yet, but I know he wont care whether or not it's "sexually charged" (whatever that means). I wouldn't post pics of my tummy or anything right now because I'm not comfortable enough with my body yet, but I know my husband wouldn't care if I did, either now or when I finally am more comfortable with my body. He knows I love him, and he's secure. He's totally supportive of my weight loss goals. He's pretty much awesome. And considering we're not prudes at all (in fact, I made him go with me to a burlesque show last year), I really don't think any kind of sexual immorality (again, whatever that means) is even on his radar.0

My husband is actually on here too (but only uses the logging portion, has never been it the community area at all) but if he wasn't he wouldn't care. He isn't the jealous type. He knows how much this has helped me (& him as well) so he would never ask me to not participate. Plus a little flirting never hurt anyone, its what you do to act on it that gets you into trouble the most lol0

We have good laughs over the broscience.
The flirty posts are nothing but giggles because my husband and I know nothing is going to come from it.0 -

My fiance has never actually been on the site, but he knows I use it and doesn't care. I don't participate in flirting and all that, I'm happy in my relationship and I'm not an attention *kitten* so why would I? But to each his/her own, as they say.0

My boyfriend doesn't really know what this site is about,. I'm sure if he saw the shirtless guys that are my friends on here he wouldn't like it. I do feel guilty at times though when I reply to those "Is that person hot or not" posts, LOL.0

Nice work brother.
I see there is no shortage of scum in this world. I'd never even thought that this website could be abused for uses of flirtation and being unfaithful, so congratulations! You've found a way to lower my expectations of humanity even further.

Hey woah!
Slow down. I love my wife (and kids). I always wait until they're out of town before I meet the ladies on my FL. Don't be so quick to judge. :flowerforyou:0 -

Interrupting to say: you're gorgeous!0 -
I'm not worried about my gf getting mad at me, but I don't want her thinking I'm flirting online for validation and attention.
...
So, I know I'm not the only one in a relationship here, and I'm sure plenty that are still post provocative pictures and flirt and all that, and hey, thats your prerogative, I'm not going to pass judgment.0 -

I got my SO hooked on the site--even before we started dating. We help keep each other on track. It sometimes pains me that he's doing better than I am, but that's okay. LOL0
-
He's happy that I found something that is helping me. He also thinks I look great, so he can't dislike it too much now can he?!0

Don't judge, yes I have a few times.. If your hot you should be told that you are, even if its a girl or a guy! I don't message people or reply to messages.0 -
Umm, he asked me what the hell was I doing on the "rate the person above you thread." I told him I could not control who was above me or under me, anyways, we got into it, and we broke up last night. He seemed to be getting more insecure as I shed the pounds, or disgusted that he wont set aside any time from his work to workout and plan meal choices. I am fine with the break up, the relationship was getting stale anyways and long distance is always hard to keep it going, when only one person is consistent.
So you're free this weekend?0 -

Same! Except it's smoky mountain spaghetti & meatballs at Boston Pizza, he loves it...did ya know there's a whopping 1730 cals in that????

I've taken to creeping my S/O with pics of my junk0

I take responsibility for the fact that I am now married and don't flirt or engage in questionable activities. My husband doesn't mind at all we trust and love each other and he is VERY supportive on my weight loss. He chooses not to use this site but that's totally up to him0
-
I would have to have a S/0 in order for them to get mad. Take THAT, thread!!! ***Goes and cries in corner for being single***0
-
She's on here as well, she just has no interest in the social aspect.0

My wife is elated that I have tackled this 35 year old issue.
I was 205 and lived at the gym when we were dating. Over that last 32 years she watched me lift heavy, but eat more.
I was 262 lbs on 1/1/2000. Two years ago I added lots of cycling to my routines and managed to stay down at 245. On 1/1/13 I got serious with MFP and am now 211. My goal is in the low 190s.
The wife gave away all my XXL shirts. She likes to say, "This 30 lbs loss makes you look 15 years younger."0
