Protien Shakes: Milk or Water?

I use low fat lactose-free milk, with my shakes. Today was the first time that I've actually tried my shake with water and just no. I'll be getting more milk on my way home...0

I use EAS Whey Protein (Vanilla) and it's awesome. Lovelove the taste. I can't tell you how many I've purchased looking for one I could drink that didn't gross me out. I use it primarily with Organic Skim milk.0

I use 1c. unsweetened almond milk. I also freeze cubes of fat-free yogurt in an ice tray and drop one of those in.0
-
I use 4 oz. of Almond Breeze unsweetened almond milk and 4 oz. of water.0
-
There are Protein shakes designed to be used with water, Syntrax Nectar have quite a few flavours, but if it is a Milkshake style one you might as well use Milk.0

Seems like milk is the way to go, I use milk also. Water is just gross with the powder0

Water only.. with EAS chocolate, tastes great still. Milk makes it too thick, adds calories, and almond milk has too much bad unnatural junk in it that I don't want to put in my body.0
-
milk either skim-2% or almond milk0
-
i d ont do them but i w ould say water because
you wil have to add calories of milk and whatever else u put in it........0 -
If I have the calories, I always use skim milk and ice cubes.0

Ooh, I love the EAS with skim milk..just like a chocolate milkshake!0 -
Almond milk is creamy and delicious in a shake0

1.5 scoops of whey (NItrotech choc) 4oz skim, 4 oz water, 2 ice cubes. shake til ice melts. I like it ice cold. If ther eis more more milk than that and it's a bit too thick.0

Depends on what else I'm putting in there....with fruit I would probably use water or ice cubes. With a banana and pb2....almond milk (if I can spare the calories)0
-
I do vanilla almond milk in mine..0
-
I use water 99% of the time, but it tastes a lot better with skim milk.0

From a macronutrient standpoint, almond milk is not very impressive (just 1 g of protein per serving). You'd be better off using water and chucking a handful of almonds into your shake--at least you'll get some more protein that way.0
-
I mostly use almond milk-unsweetened. Mines 30 cal. for 8oz, so its not too much cal. And, when I am out of milk, I do use water-but I think it's hard to choke down.0

Because there's only 4 almonds per cup of almond milk.0 -
Only time I use water is when I need to curtail the calories that day, otherwise I use skim milk - the extra 3.5g protein per 100ml is welcomed.0

I use water because I am keeping my carbs down and I don't want to add more Calories.0
-
Milk0
-
I personally love using skim milk. My husband uses water only because milk costs money lol0
-
water mixed with protein poweder makes me GAG. I can't do it. I usually use unsweetened Vanilla ALmond milk, the 30 cal one, I like 1% milk the best but I hate spending the 100 cals on it.0
-
I always use Unsweetened Vanilla ALmond Milk0
-
unsweetened almond milk, plus a few ice cubes to make it more "shake like". I can't do water....too thin for my tastes0
-
I do like 75% water, 25% milk, water by itself doesn't taste so good.0
-
I love the unjury brand. Great flavors and also the unflavored is perfect in anything0
-
I use unsweetened coconut milk - tastes amazing!0
-
6-8 ounces of 2% fat cow milk per scoop of powder.
Plus a little ice because I like my chocolate milk cold.
Just water is drinkable but not very pleasant. I've never tried other liquids.0
