i'm 5'2" also... can't claim "baby weight," since my "baby" is a senior in HS! The last 3 years have been a serious mess (lost job, house, got divorce, went back to college, oldest daughter died in a car accident, reunited with hs bf, got married... in that order), and i am the heaviest i have ever been. i know what i need to do, but for some reason am not doing it. i need MOTIVATION! i'm sick and tired of feeling huge!0

Hey I am 5 ft nothing, My highest weight was 220. This was a few years ago , lost some weight here and there but haven't been under 180 since high school... I am 27 now. It sucks for short people who let themselves go to far, since our healthy BMI seems so far away and impossible to achieve. Apparently I am suppose to be at about 128 lbs minimum to be at a healthy weight... very far away. I got back up to 215, got a horrible stomach flu and could only eat very little and things that sounded greasy made me nauseous. So I said , Jenn it's been two weeks, stick with this!!!! So for the first month I just ate healthy , didn't watch portion sizes or anything , just healthy. Well , the weight was coming off , I just wanted to speed things up before I got discouraged. Well here I am about a month and a half later down 17 lbs!! It feels great to have people notice already , to notice it in my clothes , and excited to see what is in the future for me. It is tough , we have our ups and downs and sometimes it's going to seem like a war you cannot win with your body. Keep going EVERYONE though cause I know in the long run , we will achieve success!!!!!!!!! O and add me if you like, always looking for new friends to keep each other motivated!0

I'm 5' 2.5" (hey, that half means a lot!). My SW was 208 lbs, CW is 195 and GW is around 145. About 8 years ago I did Weight Watchers online and got down to 135 lbs. Unfortunately all that weight crept back plus another 10. I realize now I was eating too little for my daily normal activity level, not getting enough protein and focusing too much on cardio without incorporating strength training. It just wasn't sustainable for me and I slipped back into bad habits. This time I'm doing mainly strength training and trying to eat at a more appropriate level for me (I work on a horse farm so I do a lot of walking and some heavy lifting 5 days a week for my job... 1200 cals just doesn't work for me even eating back exercise calories). I'm trying to do this the healthy and sustainable way this time.0

I am 5'2 and I have no children so I cannot even use that as an excuse for my weight gain. As it turns out I was in a bad relationship that made me unhappy and therefore I turned to food. I got out of that relationship and I am just now starting to see the affects it had on not only my mental state but my physical as well. I decided a few short weeks ago that I would focus on myself and turn over a new leaf as the saying goes. I am 5'2 as mentioned before and that is too small of a frame to hold the weight I gained so I am to searching for motivation. I live with roomates and they arent much for the deiting thing so I too need a different motivation base.
starting weight.....175 sadface
end weight.......yet to be determined
goal weight.........120 ish/ (to be healthy I am unsure of the healthy weight for my height)0 -
I don't have any recent full body pictures, so I can't provide those sort of before/afters....but I have this. Hope it helps!
EDIT: I started my journey at 167lbs, but didn't feel up to taking a "before" photo until late July.
I am a mommy of one, so I am really happy I am finally losing the pouch on my lower stomach. It's been 6 years! I started my new healthy lifestyle in late June / early July. I primarily lift heavy (as of recent), but I also get about an hour of high intensity cardio in about 3-4 times a week. Not sure what to say about my diet. It's constantly a work in progress. LOL - I do focus on hitting my protein everyday though. I think I have my settings at 35/45/20 ... I usually go over on my fat grams, but it hasn't seemed to hurt me much! I have my protein at 45% (135g) just to be sure I eat enough to at least get in the red. I am a big chocolate freak (I often feel as if chocolate runs through my veins)...I work my macros around to be sure I can fulfill my chocolate cravings without too much guilt!
P.S. I didn't have a c-section. I did gain about 70lbs during my pregnancy, so it still messed up my tummy bad. I got stretch marks all across the front...but I never thought my stomach would ever look like what it does currently. I don't mind the stretch marks as much now, since they flattened out too !0 -
i'm 5'2 and weigh 112 lbs and i want to be around 90 lbs
Edit: on looking at ideal height and weight, to carry a body weight of 40kg (90lbs) you need to be around 142cm tall.0 -
Hi,
I am 5'2, well technically I think I am 5'1.5, but I'm claiming that extra half an inch!
I started out at 74kg and my first goal is 60kg which will put me into (just) the healthy weight range. After that I will make a new goal.
I hate exercise and love to over eat and my husband is a body builder so we are like chalk and cheese! But, I'm finally motivated to lose the weight before I get too much older.0 -
