Oh no! I gained 8 pounds....

On purpose! Just finished my first bulk. Over 10 weeks I gained 8 pounds (I'm guessing 3 pounds of water, the rest fat and muscle). Here's me before beginning lifting (133 pounds), after 8 months of lifting and eating around TDEE or at a very slight deficit (1800-2200 cals, 129 pounds), and after 2.5 months of lifting and and eating around 500 calories over TDEE (~2700 cals, 137 pounds). Yup, I weigh about four more pounds on the right than I do on the left. I completed NROL4W between picture 1 and 2 and have been doing NROL Supercharged between 2 and 3. Just goes to show you how hard a women has to work to "bulk up"!

Edit: To clarify, first picture is July 2012, second is March 2013, third is May 2013. So in total we are talking about 10 months of progress here!

You would never think the picture of you on the right is heavier, than the one on the left

    Just goes to show

    10 WEEKS - WOW!!

Excellent! Just goes to show we shouldn't gauge our progress by the scale!

Its a scary concept but the results are totally worth it! Next time I'm going to aim for ~6 months of bulking to hopefully get a bigger muscle gain.

Jealous much? You know, it's called a typo. It's a common error, but if you haven't heard of it, you can check into it.

That makes me happy to hear :-) Clearly I'm a big fan of the New Rules of Lifting seriies, either one is a good place for a beginner!

I came into this thread expecting panic over an 8lb (mostly water weight) gain from a temporary binge/holiday or something similar.

Love that I saw a fantastic success story instead. Great job, you look fantastic! Yay for lifting!
