these bars are DELICIOUS!
this is my second time making my own protein bars & this recipe is way better than the previous one.
You Need:
- Gold Standard Whey Protein ( Cookies & Cream )
- 100% Whole Grain Oats
- All-Natural Peanut Butter
+ Water
Directions:
Microwave about 1/4 cup of water & 1/4 cup of peanut butter for 1minute.
Then add it to a mixing bowl of 1 scoop whey protein & 1 cup of oats.
Mix. Shape. Refrigerate.
Yummy ! I am going to make some of these now ... thank you for sharing

Using the following ingrediants, this is what the total recipe yields. It can be divided into how many servings anyone would want.
- 100% Whole Grain Oats (Generic stats pulled from MFP)
- JIF Creamy Peanut Butter (I keep a container at work)
- Gold Standard Whey Protein Vanilla Ice Cream

The Gold Standard recommended by the OP is actually the brand I use but I prefer the vanilla ice cream. Most of their flavors don't deviate much with the nutrition data but you can look them all up on bodybuilding.com
Scroll down to the bottom right, pick your flavor and check the nutrition data.

They have a rather large flavor selection so it would allow a lot of experimenting.0 -
Yep, saving this one for later.... the originals sound good as do some of the variations that others have posted!0

Made yesterday with:
Quaker 1 Minute Oats
EAS Whey - Vanilla
Jif Peanut Butter.
Followed the directions as stated in the OP. Made 4 "meatball" sized snacks. Popped in the fridge, and went to workout.
Came home, had with coffee.
Absurdly delicious. Cost = Around a quarter per bar.
Nutritional Facts, for those lazy (Assuming 4 bars per batch) = 220 Calories, 12g Fat (2.5 Saturated), 118mg Sodium, 10mg Cholesterol, 19g Carb (3g Sugar, 3g Fiber), 11g Protein.
Thank you for the excellent (and really damned easy) recipe.0 -

Tried this today. Wow, they're lovely! My variation:
1/4 cup Mara Natha Natural Almond Butter
1 cup Robin Hood - Large Flake Oats
1 scoop Strive Pro-Isl Ultra Premium Vanilla Whey
Makes 4.
Nutrition per Serving:
Calories: 230
Carbs: 19g
Fat: 10g
Protein 18g
Sodium: 23mg
Sugar: 1g
Almost a one-to-one carbs-protein protein bar? Wonderful! : D And the almond butter makes it ridiculously filling. I tend to not get enough fats in my diet, so this will be a nice help : ).0 -
im sure the nutritional data would be different regardless ... For me I use 3 different types of protein all differing in nutritional data as well as peanut butter or even the oats not all the same ...0
