    I see Old Navy Ads...And Backstreet Boys. ((shrugs)) I haven't searched those but I usually don't pay attention to ads anyway.

    it wont be much longer until we get specific ads directed to us on TV. and they will change DVR tech to force you to watch some like having to watch ads on youtube.

    of course there are ways around these things but if someone is wondering why there are pizza ads here there is zero chance they'll be able to avoid them.

    Let them.....I make it a point NOT to buy what is advertised to me without my requesting it. For instance....on the right of the page right now....is an add for General Mills cereals....pretty sure I'll never buy their cereals from now on!

    I have a Toyota ad at the bottom and a Julep nailpolish ad at the top. Now I have to go out and buy a car and some cosmetics. Thanks a lot, MFP. I'm going into debt, thanks to you. :angry:

    Thankfully I use adblock. Pizza is somewhat a weakness of mine and a typical binge from say dominoes would be 2 large pizzas and sides and dessert. okay i'll stop my mouth is watering.

    You're doing a good job advertising for them!

    I have a voltswagon ad on mine which I find highly offensive. Just because my grandmother was German I have to drive something with German engineering???? And the Farmville ad on the bottom of the page crosses a line. Get so tired of the hippies pushing their organic vegetables on me :explode:

    Actually this is a fitness site. Not everyone here is trying to lose weight. Also, not everyone with weight loss goals cuts out foods.

    It's just ad software. It shows you adds based on your internet usage history. For the longest time MFP was convinced I wanted Avocados and to join BlackPeopleMeet.com

    Technically it's a fitness site and many on here are both fit and eat pizza. Heck, many lose weight and still eat pizza from time to time. And it's how they are able to provide us with this free service. If the ads really annoy you, you can get some adblock software. That way you'll never have to see those tempting commercials again.

    As others have said, it's based on your browsing history and location. It's nothing to do with MFP. If it bothers you, use Adblock. I have used Adblock for years and I never see ads anymore.
