One year, 140 lbs lost progress pics!

Hey guys !

I've been an avid MFP user for almost a year now and I think I'm finally ready to post some before and now pictures ! Heres a quick run down of my stats.

Age: 25
Height: 5'4
SW: 320
CW: 180
GW:175
UGW: 140

A year ago this month I started my weight loss journey. I've met with doctors and with a dietitian as clearly my weight was out of control. I have always been bigger and was not sure what I could accomplish but with one year down I have lost 140lbs gone from a size 24 to a 12 and a 3X sometimes 4 to a size L. Band shirt size 2X to a L almost fitting into a M !

My original goal weight of 175 is only 5 lbs away ! and at the time I was told by numerous health care providers that this goal was " unrealistic". On sunday I'll be doing my first 5KM walk and I couldnt be more excited!. Right now I'm looking for determined and commited friends to share recipes, General weight loss tips and fitness tips with!

    What were you doing? Food eating? Ive kind of hit a plateau a bit... :|

    I've changed my eating habits quite a bit ! eliminated or gradually elimated alot of unhealthy foods. Now eating lean proteins,veggies and fruit. I've traded in pasta for spagetti squash. Potatoes and other starchy sides for Quinoa and Bulger blends. Being creative when cooking comes in really handy! you can make almost any recipe 10X healthier with subing ingredients. I've really focused on how much sodium I'm eating, protein and have gradually reduced my calories as directed by a dietitan and with help from the MFP APP!

    I've been lucky and only experienced a slight plateau. During those times I've increased my caloric intake and changed up my workout.
    Walking has been my best friend ! However It's been 80/20 and its mostly what I eat. I've set small weight loss goals and started changing one thing at a time! Good luck!
