Unfortunately, there is no fast way to get rid of them.
They never disappear but do eventually fade to a silvery colour.0 -
embrace them0

Sorry to tell you, but they aren't going away - ever. They fade over time, but once you get them you've got them for life.
Don't waste your money on lotions and potions that claim to get rid of them.0 -
The only thing you can do is change the way you feel when you look at them. Now I've lost the weight that caused me to get them, I see them as a reminder to not let it happen again.0

What these guys said, but may I also suggest you go full-bore the other direction and cover them all up with tribal tattoos? I promise nobody will notice the stretch marks at that point
Well, I'm hoping mine will fade as well anyhow.0 -

This is how I think too! I lost 120 lbs over 10 years ago and am getting close to finishing relosing 25 of those lbs. I have plenty of stretch marks The place I regret them the most is on my upper arms and shoulders. I had a middle school student ask me what the marks were when I was wearing a short sleeve shirt. I wear 3/4 sleeves to work but definitely wear short sleeves outside of work. I also have a few on the top of my shoulders:( I am ready to wear a workout tanktop to the gym(so much more comfortable to workout in when you are doing mat work) but I'm self conscious....0 -

Sunless tanner does help them look less pronounced.0

Cocoa butter helps to soften them out so they become less visible (although not getting rid of them) and it is cheap too!0

BIO-OIL nothing else works for me0

Not trying to hijack the thread but does anyone have tips to prevent them? My upper body muscles seem to be going through a growth spurt and the skin on my arms feels really tight (especially right after lifting). Obviously I'm happy that my muscles are growing quickly but I don't want to cause stretch marks on my arms because of it. I was thinking of using one of those stretch mark creams for pregnant women but I anyone else has any ideas that'd be great.0

Thanks for all the advice guys! I guess it is something we all have to deal with, but I'd rather have them and be healthy again then to be fat the rest of my life!0

the only way stretch marks can be removed is if they are surgically cut out.0

right after having my darling daughter, my husband sent me that photo. he could tell i was having a hard time with the weight gain and the postpartum.
unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do to make them go away. so love them and allow them to be a part of who you are because they're not going anywhere.0 -
But the fact you had been fat enough (or pregnant) to get stretch marks and then got fit is something to be proud of. Stretch marks on a fit body are a reminder of what you've accomplished.0
