Does your feet get smaller as you loose weight?

My feet went down 2 and a half sizes
it was just annoying to keep having to buy shoes0 -
Think it does. I used to be a 5.5-6 and now I am 5-5.5 having lost 40lbs. A former colleague lost over 130lbs and went from a 6 to a 3. She said she lost one shoe size fairly quickly and then the final two all at once when she got really close to her goal weight. Makes sense that the more weight you are carrying the more the bones in your feet get pushed out and apart, as well as the fact that there could be a little fat padding there.0

Mine have went down a size just from a 50# loss. I'm hoping they I down another size by the time I am done so I can wear all the cute shoes lol0

Like clothing, shoes depend on the "cut" and "style" as well. Your feet may have gotten a little smaller, but it's generally not that drastic a change. It's more likely just the manufacturer runs differently.0

mine shrank some - about a size in some brands - but about a half size in most0

At one time before kids & the weight began coming on, I was a 9 in women's. Now, I'm up to an 11-11.5 MENS or 12 women's!!!!! I really hope to get back down...so far nothing yet after 41 lbs.0

My walking shoes feel looser, but they are still ok for walking. My flats are too big now.
ETA: I thought this was just some weird idea in my head that my feet shrunk a bit.0 -
I went from a 10.5 W to a 10 regular width.
Edit: Typo0 -
yep I went from a 10 to a 8!
I had to get all new shoes0 -
Your feet don't get smaller, they get bigger.
(at least it seems that way because you can see more of them when you look down).0 -
Yes...I have tiny feet already, but I went from a womens 7.5 to a 6.5...the advantage...I can shop at Journey kids for shoes (buy the cheaper kids TOMS and sandals) :-) LOVE IT! :-)0

Not by a ton, but they seem to be getting more narrow which is great since they're naturally so wide.0

Mine have gotten smaller. I started out at a 9 1/2. I am now at 90
-
I wish mine would shrink! So damn big!0

Shoes are not anything close to standard in their sizing. Even the same brand might come from a variety of overseas contract factories.0
