Anyone have good (easy) asparagus recipes?

I'm thinking like a main dish. Anyone have any suggestions? I have a really good creamy pasta with sirloin and asparagus, but looking for some variety!

My favourite way to prepare it: chop green asparagus spears into lengths and pan-fry in just a bit of butter with some flaked almonds! Really nice if you just stir it into pasta (try fettuccini) with a little parmesan.

I always just put salt, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar on it then roast it. I have never tried it in another recipe.

Throw them on the BBQ. That's it. Seriously, you'd be amazed. If it's not so fresh, I spray a little EVOO on there and add a pinch of sea salt but that's about it. It is amazing!

I just oven roast them with a little olive oil, salt and fresh cracked pepper. Roasting it still beats any other way i've ever tried it prepared.

I take really thin asparagus, like green bean size, grill it in a grill pan with olive oil, fresh garlic, little lemon juice and sprinkle of parm cheese. YUM! I don't cook it for too long, like it somewhat crisp. Hungry for some now!

I love the above recipe, the helping is HUGE and the calories are perfect.

ETA: And it is a good budget meal, especially during the early summer when the veggies are in season.

Cut into inch-long pieces. Cook in boiling water until tender. Place cooked asparagus in a bowl of ice water until cool. Drain. Toss with grape tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.

I roast mine as well. Put into a glass baking dish, drizzle with melted coconut oil, mix and coat, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, a little garlic salt. Or I omit the garlic salt and add parmesan cheese. I cannot have parmeson anymore so after the coconut oil, salt, pepper, I sprinkle with nutritional yeast.

I always roast all my veggies like this, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, all the same way :)
