i've successfully avoided these bitter green balls of evil for probably 34 or 35 years now.

About 3 months. I have had them exactly twice in my life, both within the last 6 months, and was firmly asked to never make them again by my husband!

I eat them at least once every two weeks. I grew up hating them but once I started cooking for myself, I learned that I actually love them- especially roasted.

When I was about 16 my mom was cooking brusselsprouts for dinner. I told her that I hated them she said 'so do I.' And I asked her why she was cooking them! She said she wanted to give us vsriety in our diet! I thought that was so funny!, now that I'm the mom and main cook, I do not cook anything I don't like. Fortunately, I like most anything.

It was Christmas, I think. My brother cooks them in bacon drippin's and they're amazing. I won't eat them any other way.

    My entire life, thus far.

And I don't plan on changing that any time soon.

Anything bitter is good for your blood from the old folk tales and I hope it's true since I love bitter veggies and actually all veggies. But I'm a piggy and I'll eat anything so not sure it counts.
