    It's been a couple months, and it will probably be w few more months since I have fresh produce coming in from my garden now. I do like them a lot and have a great recipe where I sauté fresh sprouts in olive oil and garlic, then add some wine and let them braise til tender. They are really good this way, totally different than Mom's boiled to hell frozen sprouts. You have to use the fresh ones!

    Brussels sprouts are right up there with cauliflower for me. Yuck. :sick: I will never knowingly or willingly eat those things.:laugh:

    About 10 minutes ago. Had them roasted for the first time. Out of season though, so not so much for the price :(

    About 3 months. I have had them exactly twice in my life, both within the last 6 months, and was firmly asked to never make them again by my husband! :laugh:

    ^ This! I liked them, roasted, but the fam. didn't give them rave reviews.

    I love them.:love: I used to make them as a casserole with lots of olive oil, now I usually have them with a butter, mustard and lemon sauce. I should try them roasted.

    Too long, thanks for the reminder. Definitely adding them to my grocery list now, mmm ...delicious. I'm curious as to why people don't like them; is it the slight bitterness or something? I was the odd child who loved veggies and always asked for more. If I come up against a vegetable I don't like, I take it as a challenge and after a few tries we're no longer in a fight. ;[

    omg I love brussels sprouts! Has been too long, never seen them where I'm living at the moment. Will get back into eating them regularly in August though, CAN'T WAIT!

    Approximately 5 years ago and they were awful.

    Funny thing is my step-brother has some planted in his garden because he thinks they will taste like cabbage.

    He says they look like little mini heads of cabbage.

    Who knows he might be one of "those" who actually like those retched balls.

    As long as he don't invite me over to eat them it will all be GOOD.

    And chopped roast chestnuts if it Christmas time. Love sprouts and so so a couple of my kids.
