Fabulous, that is where I want to be next year. Go ahead and Scream it from the roof tops. And I thought it funny your not exercising. My mom's excuse is that she is "holding exercise as a reserve for when she can't lose by diet." Her doctor didn't think that as funny as I do. I would rather exercise then diet. What ever, you achieved your goal and we are proud and happy for you.0

Many congratulations! You deserve bells and whistles!0

Toot your own horn if you like! That's amazing! If you don't mind, could you share your secrets with me? I'm new on MyFitnessPal and I'd really appreciate the help. Weight loss has always been difficult for me and doctors haven't been sure why, seeing as my metabolism and thyroid are just fine. I have no blood sugar problems, though it runs in the family. I'm trying to avoid serious health conditions before they occur.
Though I don't know you, I'm proud of you for losing those 45 lbs! That must have been one heck of a journey and it's great that you got through it!0 -
I know you aren't supposed to toot your own horn but I really had to share! I only wish bells and whistles had gone off when I entered my weight today!:)
Bah, toot away! That's what this forum is for! Congratulations!!!!0 -

Hello, I don't think I have ever replied to your posts but previously I had noticed how similar our stories are. I have five children and am a former educator. I am about where you started in January as far as my weight and it seems like my goal of losing 55 pounds seems so far off for me. I have lost 4 pounds in about 3 weeks and would appreciate any great advice you can give me. I hope to be you in the near future and I am determined like you to not be the "fattest wife" anymore. I congratulate you on your weight loss and wish you great success in maintaining your loss too. It's o.k. to toot your own horn-you certainly deserve it for your hard work! Congrats!!0

One more thing... I noticed you posted earlier that you try to watch your carbs, sugar, and keep a 1200 caloric intake. I have been trying to up my fiber (which I heard was a good thing to do) but I like Fiber One Cereal (caramel delight). It is wonderful for the fiber but has 11 g of sugar per serving! I was wondering what foods you normally eat that are low in carbs and sugar especially snacks and breakfast foods or cereals? Thanks!0

Congrats!! So inspiring!!0

Also: Thank you for posting that it took a month to drop the final 3 pounds. I know I get discouraged without seeing movement...and it's reassuring that right action leads to optimal results!0

Really!!! I did it!! Can you believe it? I really can't. It seems like so long ago that I started this journey. I joined MFP in January and finally met my goal. It took a month to lose the last 3 pounds!!!!!!!! I DID IT!!!!!!!! I have lost 45 pounds! Me! I know that this is a little rambling but I am so excited! I went from a size 18 to a size 10. I have lost 40 inches (actually a little more, I didn't measure right off the bat.) I look better, I feel better, I am healthier! I know you aren't supposed to toot your own horn but I really had to share! I only wish bells and whistles had gone off when I entered my weight today!:)
Size 18 to size 10 Oh my gosh! I'm size 18 and have never ever fit in to size 10 apart from when I was 10 yrs old maybe lol you are my inspiration you show it can be done and will be done!0 -
