Its interesting to see everyones stats. They are all over the place. I think some (though not many...just a few) have measured incorrectly. Here is my before and after

06/11/2011 (just had a baby about a year prior)

    Height 5 foot
    weight 132
    Neck 12.5
    Bust 36C
    waist 33 3/4
    Hips 39

    Today 06/27/2013
    Height 5 foot
    weight 122.6
    Neck 12.5
    Bust 34C
    Waist 31.5
    Hips 39

So even though I lost a little under 10lb, the only place I lost it was my chest and waist (and not very much) (Chest was probably down because I stopped nursing) I thought It would be more of an impact after losing 10lbs. I dont think we can pick and choose "where" we want to lose it. I personally swim 5-6 days per week. Back in 2011 I sat at a desk all day working. As of Jan 2013, I was a part time stay at home mom, part time working (15 hours per week at a desk). My extra time was dedicated to my family and myself to working out. I did not start losing any weight until I stopped working at a desk. I started moving around more (cleaning house, running after a kid and working out) . That helped move the needle. Hoping to lose 5 more lbs and I will be at my highscool weight (class of 94...haaay) But I think since the baby was born my body has shifted. Weight gains and loses in areas that it never did back in my teens and 20's. I am currently in a loose size 8. I could switch to 6 but I hate shopping. Back when I was 132, I was a VERY TIGHT size 8, 10's fit me best. Then again we all know that ones store size 8 is another stores size 11. Nothing is consistent. My sizes are from me shopping only at NY&Co

I'm 5'2", 111 lb, waist 26" and hips 34". I am apple shaped, it all starts to collect at my waist from 116 lb :(

I'm 5'2", 111lb, waist 26 inches, hips 34 inches. Also apple shaped, at 116lb I still had a little tummy bump (but it was huge at 166lb lol). It's tough on petite ladies :(

Edit - Server error, sorry for double post!

    5'0"
    127-130lbs (it fluctuates.)
    bust- 38.5in
    waist- 30in
    hips-38.5in

...weird. I've always thought of myself as uneven from top to bottom, but I guess that perception might be off. lol.
never judge yourself based off of someone else. I think the fact that all these stats are so different should illustrate that point. Just be healthy, and happy.
I hope we both reach our goals!

I am 4'10" and currently 159.6 lbs. I measured my waist and hips tonight and I feel like they're both abnormally huge. I think I measured right...

    Waist: 40 inches
    Hips: 44 inches

Anyone have methods for reducing waist and hip sizes? I could use any suggestions!

I wouldn't actually mind my measurements since I like my hourglass shape, but I have un-proportionally long legs for my height. So my torso is very short. It's not like one of those nice long hourglass shapes. It more resembles two bubbles stacked on top of each other. But I'm hoping that'll change with weight loss. And if now, well, at least I'll be healthier!

I know it's a strange body build--it runs in my family. We all have "the donk". I've embraced it! I already look anorexic on my top so I do not plan to lose anymore weight. You cannot spot reduce so learn to live with your proportions. It's easy to accentuate the positive if you are at your ideal weight. Skirts that hit mid-thigh, tops that tie at the waist, etc; Tone and strengthen all you can and then just be happy with what God gave you.

Some people have mentioned doing ab workouts to lose the middle. This is absolutely false. Ab workouts make you gain muscles in your midsection so you might actually put on an inch or two (if you hardcore it). Overall fatloss is the only way to reduce your waist.

That being said, nothin' wrong with ab workouts, just don't do them to try to spot reduce :)

    I'm 5ft 2 1/4( very important that 1/4 LOL)
    I weigh currently 138lbs
    waist: 28" (I started off at 31")
    hips: 36.5" (I started off at 40")

Every pound you lose will reduce your size - although my waist seems stuck at 28 now!
We can't spot reduce but working out/even lots of walking will reduce your size so don't despair and keep at it, you will get there :)

I am 7lbs from my goal and I'd really like my waist to be 26 and my hips to be 36 :-D

How do we upload pictures? I'd love to find my stats match. I see some of you say it's pointless but I think it's quite interesting to see the difference in shapes even with the same measurements.it shows how different we all really are

Hi, there is a website where you can see different pics of people same weight and height as you for comparison, the name escapes me right now! doh! lol but I WILL find out what that is and get back to you :)
