Jaws. My parents let me watch it when I was 5. I no longer take baths, because obviously there could be sharks in there and I used to wrap blankets around me and let my feet stick out, in case there were sharks underneath the covers lol.

Salem's Lot - I always thought there was going to be a vampire trying to get in through my window.

The Wizard of Oz, and then when I was older, Jaws - I had nightmares whenever I heard the "shark music"!

    E.T.

Me too! Still freaks me out to this day. My parents make fun of me constantly and my mom even got me an E.T. ornament for Xmas as a joke. I had my dad check under my bed every night for about a year. I was convinced that disgusting, wrinkly abomination was hiding under there.

The Omen - the original. Made me read revelations and want to start going to church.

I saw They Shoot Horses, Don't They? in the theater when I was 10 and it left an indelible impression on me. Not "Boo!" scary, but real-world scary.

My first R rated movie way back when was Magic 1978 with Anthony Hopkins, Ann-Margret, and Burgess Meredith. I watched it a few years ago and realized how hokey it really was, but at the time, it freaked me out.

Only Nightmare on Elmstreet, the first one. No other horror movie came close. Mostly it was that dead bloody girl in the body bag in the high school hallway and being told that Freddie would get us if we fell asleep!

Growing up my parents never censored what I read or watched. I loved loved loved scary movies. But they never actually scared me. Only movie to truly terrify me and give me nightmares was Dark Crystal.
