Usually it's two cups of red seedless grapes, my post-workout food. (I tend to work out some time between 10 and 11:30 p.m., with half-hour or hour-long sessions.)

I can't get enough of cold grainy toast spread with butter and natural peanut butter.

I eat dinner at 8:30/9:00 PM pretty much every night. Really no need for a late night snack for me. I do have a few snacks between 4 and 8 though...usually an apple, maybe some pop corn, some nuts or trail mix...sometimes my kids goldfish crackers...whatevs. It fits in my calorie goals and macros and that's all that matters. There's nothing inherently "unhealthy" about eating late.

Lately my late night snacks have been this amazing popcorn that's called "boomchickapop"... I can get a HUGE bag of it from Costco for cheap, and a whole bowl of popcorn is only 125 calories!! YUMMY!

I've also been enjoying those small individual size Angel Food cakes. Strawberries... watermelon, fiber one bars, and I am so guilty of loving these sugar wafers with hazelnut icing....

Late night is my snack time where I add some treats in. No shame!

Hard boiled eggs or whole almonds. I don't late night snack very often, but I try to avoid carbs/sugar and find something with protein and good fats. :o)

I have a cup of hot green tea, and I like the Fiber One chocolate chip cookies, there is 90 calories in them. Or I may have strawberries or a few pretzel rods...

i struggle a lot with eating after dinner. sometimes i am actually physically hungry before bed, but other times i'm not actually hungry and am usually bored, lonely, tired, etc. instead.

if i am physically hungry, i have something small (about 100 calories), like some high fiber cereal, a spoonful of almond butter, etc.

if it's emotional hunger, i try to brush my teeth (using mouthwash helps too) and drink some water.

    hope that helps!

I have a bowl of cinnamon chex cereal and vanilla almond milk! It gets my sweet craving and it's not a lot of calories. (Don't do this if you're watching your sugar macros though.)

Sometimes I also do greek yogurt with fruit and honey. I also love chips and salsa. Salsa is pretty low in calories.

Wait, I want to add, sometimes an apple or banana (I like to add natural peanut butter when calories permit), Haagen Dazs Raspberry Sorbet, (surprisingly low calorie because there is no dairy), and real fruit strawberry popsicles.

I'm not going to lie, I also will do an entire cardio workout to earn the calories to eat a few oreos.

There is nothing wrong with a treat, as long as it's seldom, and you get adequate nutrition with lots of protein and fiber in your normal meals, and drink the right amount of water.

    and Hummus!

Ok I'll stop. It's just kind of late right now and I'm thinking of all the things I want to eat..... lmao

I usually go for a small handful of nuts (1/2 serving), 1 cup of 2% milk if I haven't had any that day already, or wheat wafers + garlic cheese wedge.

If I have it, I've found that watermelon is super filling - guessing because of the water content?

Nothing!!! I refuse to eat anything after 7pm. In fact we have a rule in our house that the kitchen closes at 7. The only thing that we can get after 7 is water:)

Peanut butter and apples, Preferably the green apples. Sooooo Good! I am ALWAYS eating at night! I cant wait for the cravings to go away completely. I always have a sweet tooth, so I found the Weight Watchers Smart Ones that are only around 160 calories (according to what flavor u buy). They are perfectly proportioned to satisfy my sweet tooth and NOT go over my calories. I work out in the evenings and come home late so I figure I "earned" it. I have also tried to have a protein shake when I come home. I have double chocolate flavor, and that helps too!

I'm not much of a "munchies" type of person, but I do like to have a dessert between dinner and bedtime. I like to have either a 100cal skinny cow ice cream bar or a green protein smoothie.

I have started to try and have smaller breakfasts (not today though haha) and eat dinner around 8pm, then fruit and yoghurt at about 10pm. I stay up quite late so this gives me a couple of hours before bed to process it all!

Remember 1. drink lots of water 2. wait 30mins after eating to see if you are truly hungry 3. pre log!!!

whaaattt I could never do that, I stay up until 1am sometimes, so 6+ hours without food is NOT an option for me. I need to eat something every 2-3 hours.

I've been struggling with hunger before bed and found this thread. Thanks for all the suggestions! I can't wait to try them vs. the chips or ice cream I would have grabbed a few weeks ago :)

Welcome!
