Hi!
I'm very new to MFP, and would love to make some friends who are also following a lower carb way of eating. I'd love to creep your diaries to get an idea of how others are eating....
Any takers?
My diary is open for your perusal
A little about me: I am a busy full time working mom of a 2.5 year old girl. I love to cook and eat and am trying to figure out how to do that and not be a chunker.

I am on a low carb diet plan! And I have an open diary!
Anyone feel free to add me! :flowerforyou:
I believe having friends to motivate you and a shoulder to lean on when it gets tough is always great to have!
Good luck to everyone in reaching their goals! :drinker:0 -
Hi just had a peak at your diary OP - did you k now you can re-set your goals so your macros (carbs/fat/protein) are whatever % you like? I have mine set to 20/40/400

My food dairy won't reflect it this week but I generally stay under 50g of carbs per day. All carbs generally come from fruits and vegetables. Feel free to add me!0

anyone can add me I'm 60f/30p/10c roughly with my macros for insulin resistance and PCOS. My carbs come from veggies mainly. Open diary, and while I'm not a 100% clean eater, I don't think I do that badly I'm just a normal working mom of 5 who slowly got fat through pregnancies and not understanding how fat works really. I know better now0

Thank you so much all! I too get my carbs from veggies, some fruit and beans. I love healthy food but had fallen into the fast food trap with my current job keeping me on the road all of the time. Trying to pack a cooler each morning to keep myself on track with healthy lunches, eat breakfast at home and no more sugary coffee drinks. I've also cut out diet soda, which is tough because I adore my Coke Zero. I just have to commit to waking up earlier to work out, get myself ready and food packed before the little one wakes. 5AM, ugh!0

Hi! I'm doing a plan that's not drastically low carb, but does require limited carbs. I have pcos and insulin resistance so I am trying to follow the Insulin Resistance Diet which is generally 45% carbs / 25% fat / 30% protein and requires pairing proteins with carbs. I'd love to find more friends that are limiting carbs.0

I follow LCHF and get the majority of my carbs from vegetables, nuts and some dairy. Very limited fruits and legumes. No grains. My diary is open.0

I'm low carbin' it! My carbs come mostly from veggies. Well I'm not really low carb, I'm more "appropriate portions"...but trust me, I'm the carb queen, so if I can make under 100g of carbs a day, that's amazing I'll add ya!
Edit to add, I have absolutely no dairy (casein intolerance)...i get my calcium, vitamin D and magnesium from soy cheese and a women's one a day multivitamin.0 -

Hiya my name is Sharon and I have just started back on low carb eating!! The regular just watching the calories way of eating wasn't working and my sodium was making me hold so much water it was like banging my head against a brick wall!! :frown: I am a type 2 diabetic and I am sure that the fruit was healthy but was never gonna let me lose the weight properly so I Said BACK TO LOW CARB!! which I had done in the past and lost 90 pounds and then went back to eating the regular way and then that became a slippery slope to really going overboard until I gained it all back and then some!! The dreaded YOYO syndrome at it's worst!!
My dairy is open and I am gonna try to keep coming up with tasty meals so I dont get bored!! :smokin: The the thing I like the most about the low carb way of eating is that the hunger is not a big issue!! as long as your protein and fat are at a good level then your body says OK I'm Good!!
The lowering of the sodium is the tricky part!! Bought the salt free Mrs Dash seasonings and that and pepper is a great start!!
Will always try to be Uplifting and supportive!! always looking for like minded friends!! So anyone who wants to add me feel free! :flowerforyou:0 -

I've been counting calories but wasn't very disciplined. I've decided to give low carb a try because I know I'll eat more vegetables this way. Keeping my carbs under 100 grams. Feel free to add me0

Hi! I'm always looking for more friends and support! I just started a low carb plan this week. I was already around 90-110 carbs/day because I am gluten intolerant and don't eat any breads. But, the scale has stalled so I'm trying a few weeks of carbs from veggies only (no fruit or alcohol) before I add it back in gradually.
My diary is open to friends so feel free to add me0 -
Hi All - I started Atkins Induction Saturday (this is day 5). I also stopped smoking - I don't do things the easy way:) I am trying to stay under 20 carbs per day for 2 weeks. Anyone else attempting ketosis? Add me!0
-
You can add me too :-) I've been off this board in what feels like forever, so I'm basically starting over. I'm going to keep my carbs to between 70-100 g/day and hopefully it will work. Looking forward to swapping good recipes and finding support in staying away from the bread and pasta........I'm not a big 'sweet' tooth but I love my savoury carbs!!!0
-
I am just starting again with the low carb lifestyle. Please feel free to ad me. Due to my PCOS and insulin resistance, my dr wants me to keep my carb under50g/day.0
