High Protein/Low Carbs

Options
What are some of your favorite high protein/low carb snack foods?

I've been relying on a protein shake as an afternoon snack substitute already.

I personally eat adequate protein & fat (I don't rely on the MFP %, instead I base my intake on LBM) and let my carbs lie where they may. Here's a list for you though:

    Fish
    Eggs (especially egg whites)
    Tofu
    Lean red meat, trimmed
    Skinless chicken/turkey
Dairy; milk, cheese (string cheese), yogurt, cottage cheese
    Soy milk, edamame
    Deli turkey (low sodium!)
Turkey bacon/pepperoni in moderation (low sodium!)
    Plant based meat alternatives
Beans (can be higher in carbs)
    Beef/turkey jerky (low sodium!)
    Nuts/seeds
    Greek yogurt (especially plain)

    ETA: parenthesis

Plain, non-fat greek yogurt (any brand) will have much more protein than carbs.

Hard Boiled Eggs, Scrambled Eggs with skim mozza if I am at home and also a skim mozza cheese string with 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt with 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder (kinda tastes like chocolate milk to me... just a bit thicker) and sometimes add raspberries for the fibre and extra flavor.

hard boiled eggs (not they do not increase cholesterol, eat away!)
    pork rinds/cracklins
    berries
    nuts
    meat
    cheeses

There are a multitude of things to eat. I just personally stay away from soy completely, I believe it to be complete and utter garbage. I just eat high fat and protein with low carbs.

1/2 scoop ON Gold Standard chocolate whey protein powder mixed into a cup of plain Fage full fat greek yogurt.

Based on my protein powder has the following:

    280 calories
    Protein/Fat/Carbs (in grams) 32/12/11
Good mix of fast whey protein from powder and slow casein from the yogurt. Tastes like a chocolate dessert!

I like lots of chicken sausages and "canadian bacon" and lunchmeats.

Sodium is a problem with this route, but I don't have BP issues, so I don't care.

I also do a bit of cottage cheese, yogurt and other dairy products, especially fermented products. The live cultures in the yogurt will convert much of the sugar in the dairy to protein.

Doesn't greek yogurt have more carbs than protein? I know Chobani does.

Chobani plain Greek yogurt (non fat): 6ozs = Pro 18.0g, Carb 7.0g, Fat 0.0g --- Ingredients:
Cultured Pasteurized Nonfat Milk, Live And Active Cultures: S. Thermophilus, L. Bulgaricus, L. Acidophilus, Bifidus And L. Casei.

    Chobani Low-Fat Plain Greek yogurt: 6ozs = Pro 17.0g, Carb 7.0g, Fat 3.5g --- Ingredients:
Cultured Pasteurized Nonfat Milk, Cream, Live And Active Cultures: S. Thermophilus, L. Bulgaricus, L. Acidophilus, Bifidus And L. Casei.

    Chobani Vanilla Chocolate Chunk: 8ozs = Pro 18.0g, Carb 32.0g, Fat 7.0g --- Ingredients:
Cultured Pasteurized Nonfat Milk, Cream, Evaporated Cane Juice, Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Natural Flavors, Pectin, Locust Bean Gum, Vitamin D3. Live And Active Cultures: S. Thermophilus, L. Bulgaricus, L. Acidophilus, Bifidus And L. Casei.

Basically, plain greek yogurt is high in protein, low in carbs...
whereas stuff added to plain Greek yogurt often has lots of carbs.

Whole eggs, egg whites, dead animals, but mostly fish... before I acknowledged my dairy allergy, I also used to be a fan of cottage cheese.
