Question about clean eating...

I've always wondered if any clean eaters use protein powder. As you know, protein powder is a processed food, and a tenet of clean eating is to avoid processed foods. So do any clean eaters use protein powder, and if you do, why is this the exception to the rule?

I use protein powder. I don't use it for shakes as much as I do for making desserts, such as protein balls, or protein cake, protein fudge, things of the like. I have an insane sweet tooth and this is really the only way I've found (right now) to satisfy it, without indulging in seriously processed candies; like Snickers, Twix, KitKats, etc. I've noticed my body handles protein powders and these homemade desserts so much better than it does with the other stuff. It almost thanks me for it0

Yes, most "clean eaters" I know use protein powder.
No idea why it's an exception to the rule. Probably because there's not a solid definition of clean eating in existence :ohwell:0 -
