How much cardio do you do?
Replies

Very little - I'd much rather lift weights.... But I'm trying to get through the C25K program so I try for 3 days a week 30 minutes or so. Haven't done it in a week or 2 though. I hate cardio.0

I do an hour of cardio a day (I love it!) and have lost 37 lbs! Shed the fat and now I see muscle. Starting a weight lifting program in August!!!!0

It depends on the time of year. We do a lot of hiking when the weather is nice so much more cardio during those months. 5-6 days a week for 1-2 hour stretches, with the occasional long hike on weekends, when weather permits.
Also, it depends on what you mean when you say "cardio". On days we don't hike I typically do Turbo Fire HIIT workouts. So, if you count all non-strength training exercise, then 15-25 min on those days, but if you mean only aerobic, those wouldn't count because I push into anaerobic.
Also, I do strength training like sets of 100-200 squats that could be considered cardio, but those probably go beyond aerobic also.
So, that the long answer. Short answer = A lot!0 -
Right now I go for a ~20 min casual jog 5 nights a week... but that's mostly to get my dogs the exercise they need lol. If they didn't need it, I'd probably skip it.0

Most of my cardio is mixes with strength or toning stuff. I have gym sessions with high incline treadmill (currently I do 25% incline) for a couple of minutes at a time alternating with weight or body weight exercises for about an hour three times per week. I teach water aerobics three mornings per week, and in my classes I alternate cardio stuff with toning exercises, for an hour long class. I do water jogging two days per week for an hour each time on the days I'm not teaching. I also fit in one or two Zumba classes (at least the Saturday morning class). At my age it takes a lot to get the weight to come off! I also really enjoy feeling my fitness level increase.0

Two cardio sessions per week (P90X or Insanity), plus 90 minutes of Soccer once a week.0

I aim for at least 30mins a day. It works for me to lose weight. I lift a couple of days a week too.0
-
30 minutes of cardio 6 days per week. It has definitely helped with my weight loss.0
-
I do 20-30 minutes of cardio 4-6 days a week and primarily do weight lifting. The only reason I even do the cardio is because I have a big appetite0

None.0

I lift 3x a week. Sometimes I'll run on my off days but I'm not strict about. My focus is on lifting.0
-
Lift 4x a week and do cardio 3-4x a week. Cardio is anything I feel like doing. 5K run, dance, 8+ mile walk, elliptical, bike, circuit or intervals.0
-
Hockey like once a week. Maybe like 20 minutes? But a new program I follow has me doing some aerobic exercises in between my lifts so maybe an additional 20 mins of cardio every workout.0

I love cardio interval training
3-4 times a week I do Denise Austin cardio interval training where she alternates aerobics with weight training in the form of squats and dumbells, her videos arent too long - usually about 20 mins and I usually do this on an empty stomach in the morning .
1 -2 times a week I do strictly strength based excercises with weights for 30 mins
5 nights per week I walk my dog 3kms so thats low level cardio as well
I think there is place for cardio and strength training in any good fitness regime0 -
13 min warm up before weightlifting. Some hiking or mountain biking when I can get out.0

I haven't been doing any these days. It's quite sad.
However, I used to do HIIT 5 days a week...which is quite a lot and probably why I stopped because I got bored with it.0 -
60 plus minutes six days/week. I absolutely love it, too.0
-
just started recently, about 2 - 3 days0
-
1-2 a week. None very soon.0

OMG, I love to run !!! It's my exercise of choice and I run ever single day, rain or shine. Most days I only run 5K, but I'm starting to train for a half marathon, so I will be running longer distances soon. I also have at least one long bike ride a week (15+ miles.)0
