I've always been low, when my thyroid gets a bit messed up I've measured as low as under 40. I'm 39, 5'1, 160lb and work out a reasonable amount.
I'm somewhere between 50 and 60 - with a stable thyroid.0 -
Before I started to loose weight mine was about 65-70. Then when I had lost about 50kg rather quickly over 5-6months I was told at a blood donation that my heart rate was 45 beats a minute and I should go to my doctor because I may need a pace maker (Bradycardia). This freaked me out. My doctor refered me to a cardiologist who sent me for expensive echo cardiogram and a 24hr holter monitor. All came back as normal and the cariologist said so long as I had no other symptoms of passing out or anything I would be ok and to visit again in a year. I did relaps weight wise and put about 10 kilos back on and after a year I beleive my body has ajusted and I am back at around 55-58. I am working to get my diet back into line and have lost 5 kg and looking to loose another 10-15 by the end of the year. I have done a lot of exercise for my weight loss and beleive my fitness is now quite high. Before i started to loose weight the first time, I was also stopped by the blood bank from giveing blood because my iron was very low and was sent off for a bunch of expensive tests for that too, nothing was found and i put that down to the very very poor nutrisional diet of sugars and grains I was on. Now I feel great and I am on the right track.0

Oh ........... I am 56. :blushing:0 -
Mine has been running in the 50s, which is nice, but the much better thing is that I have to press on an artery to feel it. Starting in October, I'd been having episodes where I'd be sitting at my desk or lying in bed, and be able to feel my heartbeat pulsating in my chest. It would keep me awake. I don't have that problem anymore.0

I'm 41, 249 pounds and my RHR is 50-54 depending on who is checking it. My doctor is very happy with my RHR so I guess it's ok.
Also when I exercise it goes above easily 140 but I can still breathe and talk normally....I can push well into the 180s without feeling like I'm going to die..... fortunately it goes down quickly too when I stop or slow down.0 -
RHR = 470

I'm just curious.
I'm 45 yrs, 6'-2" and about 222 lbs and since I've become a cardio junkie my RHR has come way down. It's about 39 bpm.
At first I was worried but the more I read about it, I guess it's a good thing.
What's yours?
Ddude u got atrial fibralation. U need digoxin.
No, just No.
39 is fine for an athletic man. Call it a-fib at 108bpm, even then you NEED and ECG to diagnose. Don't go tossing crap like that out there like that.
Agreed. Do you even know what atrial fibrillation is? Don't diagnose. Please for the love of all that is sane.0
