So there seem to be a lot of cat owners on here.
One of mine will wait until you get out of the shower, jump in and roll around in the water, and attack you if you try to remove her.
She also barges in while you're on the toilet and does somersaults over your feet by wedging her nose between your toes and snuffling and pushing her body over the top with her back legs.
She lies on her back on our stairs with all four paws dug into the stair above her and zooms up and down on her back while miowing to herself.
My other cat is rather boring except that she gets annoyed if I'm leaning over my computer and she cant get to my lap, so she sleeps draped over my shoulders. She's 5kg (11lbs). Ouch

My cat mainly lives in other peoples houses. After about 9 years of never straying too far he comes back every 3 days or so for some food and a meow.

Whenever my puppy is asleep in her bed, our cat gets in with her and pushes against the puppys back with her paws until the puppy gives up and lies down somewhere else.0

Mine molests my feet every evening after my shower.
She nuzzles my feet and rubs all over them.
Then she'll roll all over them.
Then sits on them and dares anyone to get near.
If i let someone sit next to me she'll either turn her back and not look at me, or push her claws into my feet, or jump into my lap and start licking my chest while looking at whoever is next to me.
It's extremely annoying at times.0 -

Oh yeah, we live in a block of 10 3 bedroom townhouses and my more boring cat is convinced she lives in a 30 bedroom, 20 person house, all of whom are at her beck and call. She's a tart.0 -

One of mine has mini strokes occasionally, he'll be fine one minute then suddenly his ears go back, his eye dilate and become unfocussed, he will attack a person unprovoked -literally will find someone, grab, bite hard and back up, give this heartwrenching meow and will run to his "safe" space and you can't touch him until it passes or he will attack again, Vet says first attack is his way of telling someone there's something wrong after that, he can't help himself and he will just stay in his safe spot til the stroke passes (he will stay in the spot with his ears back, his eyes dilated and unfocussed and occasionally meow that hearbreaking meow, so far the longest stroke has been about 20 mins)
The other likes to sleep on the pillow next to mine and when I don't pay attention to her she'll either poke me or tap me on the head until I pay attention0 -
My Burmese is very protective of me. My dog can't even come near me some days (now she is a 30kg big dog - dobe x) and my kitty is only 4kg. She also has "babies". They are stubby coolers (or can coolers wherever you are from). She steals them and stockpiles them. Then she carries around one at a time meowing and caring for them. She has been spayed since 4mths and never had kits (she is 9 next month)
Our black cat he is the weird one. Has no medical issues whatsoever, but once being a stray he seems to think he needs to eat constantly, yet he's only just 3kg. If he thinks can't see him he will try to eat anything in sight (yep ANY type of food!). He also has a habit of licking your hair while sleeping. He has an obsession for chemical smells and will go hypo if you smell anything like it. In particular, he loves the smell of chlorine. If he smells it he will rub on you for a minute before going pyscho and attacking you.
Oh and he loves to eat lorikeet food. We have to lock it in the cupboard and make sure its locked or he will get it. If he does get it, it gives him the squirts. Why he continues to try and steal it is anyone's guess.0 -
My cat only likes me, and he's scared to death of my kids. He's 13 years old. He lives outside, because my middle son is highly allergic to cats. He has a huge mole over his eye, but my vet says it is ok and won't hurt him.
He still purrs like a kitten whenever I pick him up, and he rubs his little head all over me. Sweet guy!0 -
Mine sits on the chair arm of where I sit and if I don't give her a fuss she will proceed to prod me with her paw. It's kinda cute but she forgets toput her claws in!0

Our cat Harry licks everyone he sees. If you pick him up he will grab your arm with both paws and pull it towards him, then lick lick lick XD He's 13 and has always done it. We don't see him as much as normal at the moment, he's kind of unimpressed with the 2 kittens we got a few months ago so spends most the time outside.
The 2 kitties also do a few odd things. Leo likes me best, and every morning (plus random times throughout the day) he will come and suckle my arm. He does that padding thing they do with their feet, which hurts cause he has really sharp claws.
The other one, Oscar, will nuzzle my mum's neck, do the padding thing too but just meows really loudly in her ear.
They aren't going outside yet, but if we sit in the garden they will sit in the kitchen and meow really loudly, and they sound really sad and pitiful lol, trying to make us feel bad.0 -
Lol, love this thread, it almost makes my cat Dave look normal....
Dave insists on having a conversation with you as soon as you get home - he won't let up until you've at least greeted him.
He'll sleep in any walkway, spread eagle.
He has a "pet" bottle cap that he basically takes everywhere with him. When he can't have the bottle cap with him (for example he may be exploring the territory on the top of the wardrobe) the cap gets left in his food dish so he doesn't lose it.
Dave will also play "fetch" with said bottle cap.0 -
Mine runs thru the house making this gods-awful meowing sound, bouncing off walls or you if you happen to be walking. Considering she's 14 and needs a stool to jump on the bed or chair, I'm shocked she still does this weird run of hers.
She also enjoys a good ruffling - I mean, dig into the fur and ruffle everything, belly included until she is surrounded by a halo of loose fur, purring so hard she often drools on herself.

My cat has his tongue out all the time (from a car accident in his youth), he has massive fangs that stick out like a vampire cat. He likes to hump pillows then lick his private parts afterwards. He also likes to give 'love' bites.0

yeah, yeah, aren't they all??!!!ha ha.
His name is SNICKERS,,,,, he walks around the block on a leash, and hes pretty dam fast,
people stop and stare, then ask how can they get theirs to do it?
simple, you can't!,, SNICKS IS SPECIAL, and yours is not..
if you throw a ball, he will bring it back,,,,,,
cats hate water,,, not snicks,,,, he loves the hot tub, pool and after a long day,
he sleeps in the sauna,,,,
trying to teach him to poop on the toilet now....
now on a bad, end note,,,, he did put me in the hospital twice..
he bit me,,, got infected.....
I love him,,,
he is my world.

Mine insists on sleeping on my face at night damn near suffocating me on a few occasions. Mine also does like if I face too much ... he attacks my calves. .. ouch!0

My cat acts like a dog 24/7
Rolls on his back for belly scratches, plays fetch... oh and when i take the dogs for a walk he tags along and follows us the whole way there and back...0 -
I wouldn't say anything is wrong with any of my cats, however....
Macs chirps more like a bird than a cat and likes to sing at 2 something in the morning in the hallway where it echoes. I would say the whole sitting up like an otter thing is weird, but it's a breed trait.
Both of my kittens are presenting trying to suffocate me in the night. They are also fascinated watching me play on the computer. Spot has an obession with Ryvitas and Veggie Stix. One believes that people need to be licked, preferably their noses but any other part will do.
Side note... never name your cat One if you have more than one cat. It makes for some confusing conversations.0 -
I throw stuff away and he brings it all back puts it on the floor ifront of me and is like "one more time??!!" ...0

My cat knows my son is allergic to cats... so she sleeps on his chest while he's sleeping. He wakes up with eyes swollen and sneezing. Evil kitty!0

It's dead.
Before he died he had diabetes and despite daily injections he would have hypos and sometimes end up falling in the fish pond.
Holding an angry, wet and spaced out cat while you rub honey on his tongue is a challenge.

All arms of chairs in the house belong to Spitzy, if you have laid anything over the arm of the chair that she currently wants to sleep on she will stare at it and at you until someone removes it so that she can reclaim her territory. She drinks water by dipping her paw into the bowl and then licking it off. She must sniff every can that you open to find out if what is inside is cat edible, and whenever she sits in front of a mirror she tries to go on rescue missions to dig the kitty that she sees out of the glass because she's convinced they are trapped.
But BC is the truly weird one. She is incredibly affectionate, but only with me. Always comes to greet me at the door and must be acknowledged and picked up otherwise she will meow until I comply. In the mornings she insists that we take a trip down to the basement and that she be carried up the stairs afterward (fairly certain she thinks that every time I sleep that I am, in fact, dead and the effusive morning greeting is really just relief that I am alive). If I am standing and doing something and she decides that she needs attention she will put her front paws on my calf and stretch herself up until I pick her up. And, of course, there is no such thing as a solo trip to the bathroom, she also likes to sit on the edge of the bathtub and dip her tail in my bathwater whenever I take a bath.0 -
I am a momma to three different cats.
My oldest cat, Texas, is a 2 year old medium-hair tortie. She was my first cat & we got her last year at our local shelter.
She is very loud, vocal & sassy when she wants fed (which is all the time). The cat eats & poops more than any cat I've had! We now have multiple litterboxes, and one day when cleaning them out, I noticed how HEAVY the bag was. I sadly weighed it, and it was 3 pounds...mostly from Texas. Oh, and I forgot. She pees on everything! Piles of clothes are her favorite. She never did it until we got more cats in the house >:(
Then my second cat, Sapphire, turned a year old in May. She is a long-hair tabby point Siamese with gorgeous blue eyes. She looks like a mini lynx or mountain cat, which is why I love her! But anywho. So she also is a bit mouthy, now that she has broke out of her shell & isn't shy anymore. She likes to randomly howl at the door between 2 and 5 am whenever she notices that I'm not in a deep sleep. She is very, very needy. Pretty much her only fault is that she is too loving and wants attention all the time.
My third cat, Jade, is a short-hairred tortie. She looks like the baby of our first cat. She is only 17 weeks old & she was rescued by my boyfriend after he almost ran her over. She, however, terrorizes my other two cats at all hours of the day. The kitten almost never sleeps. Baby tortie & the Siamese fight like dogs, goin' all W.W.E. in our living room every night, hahaha. Oh, and the kitten is more litter trained than our 2 year old...0 -
Ours, he's 5 months old, and huge.. lol
Same issue, LOVES the wet tub.. as soon as you get out of the shower, he's in the tub rolling around.
When I go to pee, as soon as he knows I'm sitting, he comes and jumps in my pants that are down to my ankles and just lays in there.. hahaha
If he's going to pounce on you, he gets ready and when he jumps, he's got his arms out, doing a flying leap at you!! hahah crazy *kitten*...0 -
My male thinks he is a dog. He plays fetch, follows me everywhere and meets me at the door everyday when I get home. He also likes to open doors and drawers in the bathroom so he can get out the rubber bands he uses to play fetch.
My female cat likes to lick the shower, either while Im in it or after I get out. The only time she licks me is if she wants me to pet her, she knows I will do it if she does.
They both hate each other but love me, so they constantly vie for attention. If Im on the couch, one will sit next to me and as soon as he/she gets up for food the other takes their place.
Oh, and THEY BOTH STEAL MY PILLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Snickers likes to like water off of my skin after I shower. Thor likes to race me to my bedroom at bedtime and roll around on the bed, hoping he'll get to stay there. He also likes to knock things down, just for the sake of doing it.0

Even though my cat died it was a few years ago now but he had this really load purr and when he wanted a pat or a cuddle he would wrap your hand in his paws.
He died protecting the family there was a brown snake near the house my cat got bit and he wouldn't let any one near him not even his brother. R.I.P Ratbag0 -
Mine loves to "head-butt" me to show me his affection. When he's happy, his tail will go straight up in the air and then vibrate. He also likes to wrestle with my dog (which is 3x his size) especially when I play with her (the dog).0

I know, I'm going to be called a crazy cat lady. I have tried to deny it since I'm married, but there's not use.
I have 7 cats (down from 14 since I've lived in this blasted apartment. I managed to give away 5, 2 got hit by cars.
)
3 from my first litter, 3 years old:
Scruffy - long haired white w/ calico patches.
Hittles - Short haired white w/ calico patches.
Punkin - short haired white w/ orange patches.
All females.
3 from my 3rd litter, all 1 year old:
Ash- Grey/black tabby striped patches and white.
Goblin- White with grey patches.
Lito- White with black patches.
All males, the second litter of a pure black stray who has since vanished.
1 Stray who decided she we belonged to her, I'd say about 7 or 8 month:
Clara- all gray. (I named her after Clara Oswin Oswald, because they have the same big cute eyes.)
They all have quirks. Hittles likes to steal straws and obsesses over treats. Scruffy is very prissy about how she places her tail and paws, but she's a klutz and attention hungry. Punkin is moody and doesn't like other cats, hasn't met a box she didn't like or that she didn't immediately claim. Ash only likes my husband, he just puts up with me as a consolation if my husband ignores him. Gobby (Goblin) is ugly, but cute. He gets very cuddly when he comes in from outside and presses himself up against you and climbs all over you. He's a gentle giant. He never fights back when the others attack him. He goes limp when you pick him up, too. Lito is my baby, he comes as soon as I call and lays on my chest and purrs while I pet him. He's annoying though, sometimes he bites my face. And Clara showed up on our back porch shortly after my Gus died, and meowed until we noticed her. She was shy, wouldn't let me touch her. Then I fed her a little and she walked right into our house and hasn't left. We're her's now. And she's playful and lays on anything and she's so mellow, she puts up with anything.
