In a year I wanna be just a couple of pounds lighter, more toned, lifting heavy like a champ, and training for a full marathon :drinker:0

It's so inspiring to read about everyone else's goals!
I've been losing about half a pound a week, and I'm hoping to be able to keep that up, although I expect the loss to slow down more and more as I get closer and closer to my goal. In three months, half a pound per week would put me at 122.5, which is 4.5 pounds shy of my goal weight. I'm more concerned with my fitness level, though, so I might actually be happy with 122.5 as an end point. Fitness-wise, I'd like to complete the Body By You program in the next three months. I'm on week 2, so I'm on track to finish on October 4, but I've never actually completely finished a fitness program before. I always get bored! This one is nice, though, because progression doesn't mean just more weight: it means new and different exercises.
By this time next year, I'd like to be able to do all of the most advanced exercises in the Body By You program: an unassisted pull-up (something I couldn't do even when I was a tiny middle-schooler), pistol squats, dive-bombers, one-arm push-ups, and weighted one-legged warriors. I also have some aesthetic goals: I'd like to lose 2" off my hips, 1" off my waist, and 1" off each thigh within the next year.0 -
i want to lose 20 pound in the next three months!!
In a year I hope to have lost 50 pound total :-)0 -
In 3 months, I want to have control of my sugar cravings and get back down below 140lbs again. In a year, I hope to be at my goal weight of 130lbs... as I have found... goal weight is hard to achieve and takes some amazingly hard work! Also, I'll have completed my second Tough Mudder with my team and recruit a few newbs while at it. Last weekend I ran my first ever Tough Mudder and next summer I want to be able to own this obstacle/run course!0

I'd like to lose another 20 lbs in the next three months. In a year I would expect to be in full maintenance mode at goal weight :bigsmile:0

I want to be my pic again <--
That was me a few years ago0 -
Relevant to MFP ~ in 3 months I'd like to be near goal (15 lbs to go, but going oh so slow lately!).
And a year from now I hope to be smoothly maintaining good health & weight.0 -
While the question is a good one from the OP, what's more important to know is once you do know what you want, what's the actual DETAILED plan to get there. Just saying "hey, in 3 months I want to be _______lbs." with no plan will probably end up short in goal.

 If I lost any more weight, I'd become anorexic. I am about at my marathon weight from about 10 years ago. exercise and diet, i thought i was getting old and with a slowed metabolism destined to be old, fat and slow. I went to my doctor and and he said I had lost 30 lbs. 80 lbs total now. I am a big husky guy and since i am in the normal ranges in weight and BMI, I don't want to change but maintain. The only time I wore smaller pants was when I was playing 3 hrs of basketball in college (in the 60's). I have gone from 2X shirts to large. expensive to get a whole new wardrobe. Hope the best of luck to everyone else who is on the road.0

In 3 months I will hopefully be at my goal weight (I have 16 lbs to go), and from then on I plan to maintain my weight and tone by lifting heavy things.0

To be honest, it's a little scary (but exciting) to sneak a glimpse of what will be.... I've never been slim and healthy in my entire life and knowing that I can and will get there is a little overwhelming at times.
In 3 months, I'd love to have lost at least another 12 lbs, and at 1 lb a week, I can't see why this isn't achievable (as I'm averaging 2lb a week now). And would you believe I need exactly 12 lbs to reach ONEderland. :-D I also have a family wedding at end of October, so I want to be rocking whatever dress I end up in and surprising everyone who hasn't seen me in a year. I can't wait to shop for a dress that isn't plus size.
In a year, I'd love to be at maintenance and I know that there's nothing to stop me from being there. I don't even know what my end goal is yet. I've set it for now to sneak into a "normal" bmi and then I'll see where I am once I get there.
Isn't it exciting to see what's around the corner......... :flowerforyou:0 -

Instead of where do you WANT to be in 3 months, ask where do you SEE YOURSELF in 3 months??
I'm exactly the type of person who let's "can't" and "not" control me. I've been unsuccessfully trying to lose weight and keep weight off. I didn't want it bad enough then. Now, I have a picture of myself in my mind, the size I was in 10th grade, except super toned, with more confidence, better posture, and a bigger smile. I see myself turning heads and stopping hearts when I walk in a room. That's what I see 6 months or a year from now.
In 3 months, I CAN lose about 30 lbs. I can lose more if I work harder. In 3 months, I'll be able to see a real difference in my body, and be wearing at least one size smaller if not two. In 3 months, I see myself running. I want to be the type of person who can get up at 6 in the morning and go on a jog/run for half an hour. Right now, there's no way I can do that. In 3 months, I see it happening.
MFP is the best thing that ever happened to my body. It's because of you guys that I can see myself that way in 3-6-12 months!0 -
still pregnant and then nursing a healthy baby and trying to learn how to be a Mom and healthy0

3 months:
I've been struggling ever since my son was born to get back on track, so I'd like for the next 3 months to be solid consistency as far as my eating habits and workouts go.
1 year: I'd like to be close to my goal weight (150ish).0 -
3 months... I'd like to be exercising regularly and without excuses. I'd like to be well on track to eating properly and not resorting to junk food.
In a year... I am going to be at LEAST 60 pounds lighter and training for the September Tough Mudder with my boyfriend and his brother's team! I will be able to run at LEAST 5K.0 -
In 3 months I hope to have reached goal weight (less than 10 pounds to go) before running my first marathon in over 15 years. I hope to get and keep my training on track after my recent knee surgery and stay injury free. (Keep getting hurt doing stupid things.) I would love to match my fastest time for a marathon, but that was 30 years ago, so that may not be realistic, but it race was on trails and I'll be running roads. I'm hoping that once I start clocking the longer runs again that I drop some weight and keep it off.
A year from now, I hope to be maintaining goal weight and running well. When my running has been going well, the rest of my life seems to fall into place. Would like other parts of my life to improve...0 -
In three months, I'd like to be 25 lbs smaller.0
