    I'm 100% American mutt.

My first traceable European ancestor came to New York in the 1600s. With that amount of time, I think it's safe to say I probably have a bit of everything. Dutch, Austrian, Swiss, and French (Huguenots) are verified in the family tree. There's a few native Americans thrown in for good measure, too.
  • In my family tree there is Jewish, black, Irish, and French Canadian. My 3x great grandmother who was 100% Jewish came to America from England because she slept with with a black man and got pregnant.. Ancestry.com is amazing and I would suggest it to anyone. I learned so much history about my family. Like my 2x great aunt was a double for Bette Davis. I would have never known! lol. All you need are names and dates to get you started. Pretty easy

My dad's heritage is all Scottish and English. Very easily traced back on that side.
My mom's mostly Italian but has a bit of French and Native American as well...not sure what else.

I have dark eyes and hair with fair rosy skin. I'm told I look more Scottish than Italian.

100% American, by way of great/grandparents from Wales (early 1900's- grandfather), Ireland (very late 1800's- great grandparents), Germany (late 1800's-great-grandparents) and England (early 1600's--very soon after the Mayflower- several greats-grandparents). Total mutt. But I identify most with my Welsh/Irish heritage. Apparently a Celt at heart. :)

They closed down the "Canadian" thread. It's hard to believe some of the hateful posts there.

This question, in the real world, is taboo and could get a person reprimanded or even fired in a place of employment.

That said... Swedish, Norwegian, German, English, and Okie (Okie covers just about all the rest with several Native American tribes mixed in).
