So my husband and I are trainers and we went to scope out a gym that just opened in the area. The gym has no bathroom. When we asked about it, the manager said the church is always unlocked (it's 1/2 a block away) and that the person who designed it said it didn't need a bathroom. I find this very odd and somewhat of a health violation. So my question is - have you ever been to a gym that didn't have a restroom?

    No. Not even once.

I've heard of cheap gyms not having showers to save money and make the memberships cheaper, but no toilet! That's just stupid

That's illegal they have to have a bathroom for at least the employees ..they just don't have one for the patrons.

    Not all gyms have employees.

Thanks for the replies....this gym doesn't have any full-time employees, but I still found it very weird and unsanitary. I belong to a gym that doesn't have a shower, which doesn't bother me because its 2 blocks from my house...but it at least has a bathroom.

I think it is something that they have to change...plain and simple...or they'll find themselves losing members.
