Definitely get one with removable plates. I had one that didn't. It cooked chicken really nicely, but it was such a pain to clean that I got rid of it.0

It certainly is a pain to clean unless you place foil under and over your meat then when done toss the foil. Absolutely no washing required.0

I have the GF grill in red with removable plates. Mine came with 3 sets of plates, so I can make waffles on it too! I still like the taste of fire grilled food, so from time to time, we break out my little smoker grill, but when I want quick grilling, I use the GF. There are special sponges for it too, found here: http://www.amazon.com/George-Foreman-GFSP3-Sponges-3-Pack/dp/B0009AJ1ZQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375795989&sr=8-1&keywords=george+foreman+sponge
This thing is a big help for getting into the grooves & cleaning up. The nice thing about the removable plates, is the plates can go into the dishwasher too!0
