Funniest thing you have seen someone logged

A friend of mine started logging 20 min or 15 min of Croquet. Trust me, she doesn't play Croquet. It turns out she was looking up the equivalent of sex with her husband and found out that horseback riding was similar. She meant to be logging Polo. We had a good laugh about that one.0

Someone on my FL logged 400 calories for 8 hours of sleeping. :noway:
Never hit the remove friend button so fast!0 -
I just can't get past people using cooking, cleaning, fishing and even driving as exercise!!! Only exercise is exercise everything is is just extra!!!0

Washing dishes
Pushing grocery cart
SMH as I delete them. :noway:
Right I would have too!!0 -
I laugh at the notion of sex being just a four to twenty minute ordeal, lol. I feel sorry for those involved!0

Funny topic but i have to say, i see nothing wrong with logging house cleaning or walking around the mall and definitely don't see anything wrong with logging time at the park with the kids! I have a 2 and 3 year old and i can tell you that i get just as good a workout at the park with them as i do at a gym.
Then why don't you just raise your activity level and log exercise as exercise?0 -
1080 calories burned for 360 minutes of driving.
Yeah, that is ridiculous!!!0 -

I recently added a post that got a few people angry about overestimating calorie burns and underestimating general food intake. One person posted that someone logged smoking a cigarette, 20 calories burnt. I want to now what other things have you seen people log that have made you laugh.
Yeah, I imagine if it's something you do everyday, like smoke or prep your food, you shouldn't count it. A certain amount of calories expended doing these types of tasks is already included by default when you choose you "daily activity level" in your profile. A person who logs little things like this will end up defeating their own efforts.
That said, the people on here getting their shorts in a knot over other peoples' logs need to mind their own. I have seen some truly snotty, self-righteous people on these boards, and (last time I checked) condescension never helped anyone lose any weight.
yup, it's important that people log at all as at least a first step in improving their life. looking thru to judge like this isn't helpful to anyone. Especially posting derogatory threads about it. Talk about unsupportive.0 -

She said she was so tired of people posting 'good day, nice job..blah blah blah' and they probably never even look at her food log... she found out who does/doesnt after that post!!!   :laugh:0 -
If sex was really log worthy, I would weigh 100 pounds soaking wet.0

I've seen the food prep being logged AND 1 girl used to log fishing from the river bank EVERY day for any where from 60 mins to 120+ minutes. The calories MFP used to calculate for a burn! Fishing is just standing there, how does that burn anything? Unless you are hauling in Jaws!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahahah! I'm totally guilt of this one. I wasn't even fishing, but I was teaching a 3 hour lab that required me to wander ever-so-slowly around a room or stand at the front and explain the day's activities. Since I'm mostly at a desk job, I didn't build those calories into my normal activity levels. The closest options I could come up with were "fishing from a riverbank" and "standing while playing guitar" in order to get something close to "standing, interspersed with walking very, very slowly." For what it's worth, I always logged far fewer minutes than I had actually been up there, since the MFP per-minute calorie credits were too high to be reasonable.
I think the sperm option is amazing. I'm going to have to spend more time reading my friends' logs!0 -
One guy very conscientiously listed his IV fluids when he was out for surgery one day0

Because I don't go to the park everyday. Some days we do nothing, some days we go out. Either way, I don't log them but I don't think it's wrong to. Exercise is exercise. You don't have to go to a gym for it to count.0 -

This thread is just making me really glad I use the TDEE-20% method and don't have to log any workout... lol.
On a side note, about shopping, going to the park with kids etc... it sorta counts. I can easily burn 300-400 more calories if I'm having an active day with my kids instead of staying home (I have a fitbit). I just include everything in my TDEE though...0 -

I hope no one here thinks "aerobic singing" is funny. Standing and singing for an hour or more with a shark conducting provokes sweat and breathlessness so it HAS to be aerobic.0

this post was not meant to offend or criticize anyone, unlike what you guys are doing. We have actually found some really funny things here and that was the whole point.0 -

Well, if it's really every night, shouldn't that just factored into your normal daily activity level?0 -
1080 calories burned for 360 minutes of driving.
Yeah, that is ridiculous!!!
its actually not as ridiculous as it sounds. Most of the time this comes up its from a fitbit user. The problem with the fitbit and others I assume is that you cannot turn it off or stop it from logging without taking it off. Well, while driving that isnt exactly possible. So the driving entry will remove steps and floors logged and replace it with the calories that it would estimate you burn based off of your BMR. So if you normally burn those calories based upon your lifestyle setting during your normal day, it will put those in. It doenst give you any extra calories at the end of the day. Its based on how the fitbit works. So for the driving time, it will remove all data (steps, floors and calories) and replace with a calorie count that equals your nomal daily burn based on your settings.
as an example:
lets say you drove for 60 minutes, and you burn 1 calorie a minute based on your bmr living your life. (yes, that is a bad number but go with me here) So while driving it may log 1000 steps and 50 flights of stairs and say you burned 300 calories. Well, to counter that, you log driving and it will remove the steps and the stairs during that time and the 300 calories and replace it wil the 60 calories you would have burned during your regular life. These numbers are completely ridiculous of course, but its just an example.
Now, if its someone just logging that on top of what they already burn, then yes, ridiculous.0 -
120 Calories burned doing 30 minutes of Words With Friends. No joke. Maybe they were playing it while on the treadmill?0

I log my vitamins, and yes it is my reminder to take them. If I forget in the morning before leaving, I take them in the evening. I have them saved as a recipe as I take 3 different kinds. My Omega 3 does have 25 calories to it. The other two do not.0
