Hi from Canada!

Hi! After a sedentary lifestyle for most of my adult life, I decided things needed to change last February. I am 37 and I have 3 kids (9,6,2) that I had no energy to keep up with. I didn't want my kids to see me as a couch potato anymore. And frankly, I was tired of it myself.
So I started the C25K program and I will be running my first 5k next week. For a 217lbs woman who had never run in her life, it's a big deal! However, I haven't lost any weight because I didn't change my way of eating. Food has always been a big issue for me, and I knew it would be hard.
But last week, something clicked in my head. I'm not sure what happened, but suddenly I *knew* I could -and would- do it! I've now logged in 5 days in a row, and I already feel so much better! It's nice to see I am taking control of my life.
I noticed that 4-5 smaller meals throughout the day is what works best for me. So I'm on the prowl for some great mini meals!
Thanks for reading this

Hi fellow Canadian! I'm in Edmonton too...congrats on the C25k, that's a tough program (I have recently decided I'm going to be a runner one day lol) Now that you have your exercise down pat, lets work on your food. I did the opposite, I made sure my diary was stellar and now i'm working on my exercise. Let me know how it goes!0
